ASTROLOGY ENCORE: The Horoscope Of Jesus Of Nazereth (Per Data From Astrologer Don Jacobs). Basic & Advanced Interpretations By Malcolm.
Don "Moby D!ck" Jacobs (1927 - 1981) was a Methodist minister and one of the big pioneers in astrology during the U.S. hippie era of the late 1960's. His astrological predictions were reportedly so good at that time that his name earned a spot in the J. Edgar Hoover's FBI watch list of "threatening" individuals (which included political scientist Angela Davis, Beatle John Lennon, and guitarist Jimi Hendrix) during the late 1960's.
He also taught astrology at the University of Hawaii, and has written several books. These books include "Astrology's Pew In The Church" (which contains every documented reference to astrology in the Bible), "Critical Comparison Of Horoscopes Of Jesus," and "Joshua Bar Joseph Ish Nazereth; A Man Who Believed In God" (which was part of Don Jacob's research into the horoscope of Jesus. For people who want to learn more about Jesus that's beyond King James, this is a very good book to read).
Basic Astrology Analysis
Don Jacobs (and his son Jayj Jacobs) believed in the use of equal houses relative to the Ascendant, as well as the use of solar houses (that is, "turning the dial" with the Sun on the Ascendant). This is where I broke off from learning astrology with the son of Don Jacobs (Jayj Jacobs). The refusal to acknowledge placement of the Midheaven calculation as part of a horoscope as a key component of the horoscope is, in my opinion, omission of a very important component. There is some good use and interpretation with the use of solar houses used by Don and Jayj , but I personally find that it can be confusing at times and it makes interpretations cloudy. There are many astrologers who are very good with this Jacobs' method of astrology interpretation, but I decided to go in another direction.
My horoscope of Don Jacobs' Jesus data features the proper addition (in my opinion) of the Midheaven at 26 degrees Virgo 0 minutes and Jacobs' calculated Ascendant (at 12 degrees Sagittarius 55 minutes). All other data is accurate with his chart:
The third house obviously stands out as the main component of the horoscope. Jesus (according to this chart) was a probably a brilliant individual, with a keen intellect and possibly a great sense of humor. And because the third house rules short-distance travel, he was probably on the move a lot, making him "a difficult target to hit." The ninth house rules long-distance travel and philosophy, and the placement of Pluto in the ninth house defines a possible obsession with long-distance travel and learning of different philosophies from such long-distance travels. Mars in the ninth house may indicate many debates (or fights) over philosophy, and Neptune in the eleventh house has a classic interpretation of "associates and friends may be deceptive."
The hard opposition between the Sun and Pluto features a midpoint of the Moon and Saturn very close to this opposition midpoint, and this indicates attention on individual transformation and the power associated with such transformation (Sun Opposition Pluto), and possibly as a result of much isolation (Moon / Saturn). It is possible that Jesus learned much from isolation and spirituality via John the Baptist in the desert, but he also may have learned much while on his own and "being on the run."
I have noticed that oppositions between the Sun and Pluto can indicate either power-seeking individuals or individuals who challenge powerful individuals. This opposition can hence indicate the latter interpretation very well per King James, but there were reports that Jesus showed up at the Hemes Monastery in Tibet and claimed to be "the son of God" to the priests and monks there (and probably much to their amusement if this story was true, as they probably had a lot of fun with him). Jesus was human, and with this opposition he probably had many power struggles with trials and tribulations in his youth (like the rest of us had), but probably with unbelievable intensity with a placement like Sun Opposition Pluto.
The conjunction of Jupiter and Uranus (in the third house, at 2 degrees Pisces) does produce an individual with a vocal and a liberal political agenda, and yes, it probably did define Jesus as a "communist" according to Don Jacobs (but one who definitely had no sponsorship from important bankers, as was the case with Mao Tse Tung and Lenin).
The midpoint of Mercury (in the exalted sign of Aquarius) and Venus (in the exalted sign of Pisces) is very close to equaling Uranus on this chart, and this indicates great talent with communications and with influencing others in unusual ways.
Star Analysis
Below is my computer printout of important star conjunctions relative to the horoscope of Jesus:
Mercury is conjunct the star of Achernar. Mercury rules communications, ceremonial magic, humor, short distance travel, "pen and paper," children, one's childhood, and reading.
Here is what my notes say about Achernar; the interpretation with Mercury is easy to define:
Achernar | Sudden success in public office, religious benefits, access to another realm | 15° Pis | Fortunate | Jupiter |
|
The "Christmas Star of Bethlehem."
The "Christmas Star" being followed by the astrologers of the east was probably the conjunction of Uranus, Jupiter, and the bright star of Scheat. Ancient astrologers followed conjunctions of key planets with key stars, and the conjunction of expansion-minded Jupiter with the knowledge-revealing star of Scheat (and with the additional conjunction of undiscovered revolutionary-minded Uranus) may have been "a star" that was suddenly much brighter than usual (due to the addition of the undiscovered Uranus), and was probably of a great curiosity to these astrologers.
Jupiter Conjunct Uranus indicates a liberal philosophy and a political agenda (sometimes both), and here's what my notes say about this star that is in conjunction with this planetary pair. The star does indicate intellectual brilliance, and also possible trouble arising thereof with the energies of such intellectual brilliance:
Scheat * | Imprisonment, murder, suicide, drowning, extreme misfortune. Essence of intellect; independent thought; break with conventional thought or philosophy | 29° Pis 22 | Unfortunate | Mars/ Mercury | β (Beta) Pegasi |
Jesus was definitely and literally born under a lucky star (Spica) per Don Jacobs' chart (AND JACOBS PROBABLY WOULD HAVE NEVER CONSIDERED IT!) and this adds more evidence that Jacobs picked the right chart. Here's what my notes say about the reputation of Jesus, with Spica:
Spica * | Wealth, fame, honour, glamour, the "Fortunate One". Spica looks like one star, but is actually two, an eclipsing binary in a tight orbit of 4 days. A planet in close conjunction to Spica is protected from the heat of the Via Combusta | 23° Lib 50 |
| Very Fortunate | Venus/ Mars |

Another star nearby Spica (and directly overhead) is Arcturus. Again, check out this definition with the reputation of Jesus:
Arcturus * | Inspiration, riches, fame, honour, popularity, benefits through travel, success through work | 24° Lib | Very Fortunate | Jupiter/ Mars |
Finally, Neptune (the planet of deception and service) is conjunct the star of Toliman, otherwise known as Alpha Centauri:
Toliman | Occult and philosophical learning, self analysis, honours; beneficence, friends, refinement; high position; stubborn, cruel; stormy or spoiled relationships with women; need for freedom. Sometimes known as Bungula, or Rigel Kentaurus | 29° Sco 36 | Fortunate | Venus/ Jupiter |
Did this guy have an incredible horoscope or what!!!
Advanced Astrology Analysis
The 90 degree dial of Jesus (with added Uranian planets) again features a massively packed third house, and yes, this indicates further that the horoscope of Jesus (per Don Jacobs) defines an individual with an incredible intellect and an incredible ability to communicate. There was also possibly some talent with humor and with ability in areas of ceremonial magic, as the third house (which is the house of Mercury) rules these areas.
Below is the 90 degree dial with the analysis of the Sun placement. The placement of the Sun in Uranian astrology usually represents the individual or entity itself, as well as the health status and expressive personality of the individual or the entity. Because this Sun position equals Aries / Mercury, it is fair to define Jesus as an individual (Sun) whose communications (Mercury) will have an impact on the world (Aries) in some important way.
Interpretation For The Midpoint Tree of The Sun Position (Above):
"The individual will be involved in communications that will have an impact on the world in some way. The communications will concern a philosophy or knowledge acquired from many travels and changes in residence that may include divinity knowledge and similar spiritual knowledge that will have an impact on large communities. Spiritual isolation may also be a source for such knowledge, and this isolation may be due to a very mean act as a result of a financial scam or black market activity (or "old money" (i.e. silver)), as this activity was important with government authorities with large sums of money."
The most fascinating thing about the midpoint formula Mars / Hades ("murder") on the 90 degree dial of Jesus is that it exactly equals Neptune / Cupido. Could this mean that the "murder" of Jesus was a staged fraud created by his family and close friends (since there is evidence he survived the crucifixion, and went on to do more travel), or that his "murder" was the result of dishonesty among his family and close friends? We all heard about the denials from the apostles as Jesus went on to face Pilate, but could there be something more that we are not seeing, like a staged death???
Interpretation of Midpoint Tree For "Murder" (above)
"The murder of the individual was either a staged deception with help from family members and close friends, or it involved dishonesty among such individuals. A complete break-up of the associates was the result, and the murder was based on indifferences from a successful company involved in creating money, and also involved indifferences concerning freedom and philosophy."
Financial astrologer Bill Meridian defines Jupiter / Apollon as "the money supply" and Uranian astrologer Maria Kay Simms defines Venus / Zeus as "creative activity leading to procreation." These two midpoints (below) are very close together on the 90 degree dial Jesus, and the midpoint between these two midpoints equal one midpoint suggesting "a violent act" and also equals another that suggests "murder." Could this be the formula that suggests a call for the murder (or attempted murder) of Jesus after a violent act was committed involving the money changers (who were "creating money???") Not to sound-off politically, but Ron Paul (a huge critic of the money-creating Federal Reserve) did report surviving a sudden-depressurization of a jet he was flying in (and nearly crashed, while running for U.S. president in 2012).
Below is the 90 degree dial analysis of Kronos / Poseidon. Kronos / Poseidon is the Uranian astrology midpoint that Hans Niggemann defines as "the man near God." I reinterpreted this definition to a more modern and appropriate meaning below (underlined in purple), since it is my opinion that we are all children of God (and God can take on many meanings, depending on one's worship or belief):
Interpretation of Kronos / Poseidon Midpoint Tree (Above):
"The influence of a supreme spiritual being will be strong in the person's lifetime. The individual may be involved with a leadership role that will concern debates regarding spiritual ideas and politics as a result of belief in a supreme spiritual being. There will be much success with formation of unions and communities around this individual belief in a supreme spiritual being, and there will be some knowledge revealed and taught that may be derived from secret or occult teachings that were learned from powerful organizations. (with possible government ties or connections)."
Finally, below are type-three planetary pictures (A + B - C = D) using placement on the 90 degree dial. The formula for "one's own death" is sort of incorrect in the sense that there is much evidence that Jesus was on the run after the crucifixion (and even in France at one time). But Jesus was sentenced to death, and this formula may have more to do with fights and arguments among individuals competing for volume and numbers of votes regarding Pilate's call for voting between the death of Jesus versus the death of Barabbas. The interpretation for "arguments" and "fights" may have had a lot more to do with the reactions of the crowd leading up to the decision between Jesus and Barabbas, as opposed to the crucifixion itself.
Thanks for reading.
Love to all,
Malcolm

Thanks Mikail. This remains one of my favorite astrology projects. Don Jacobs nailed it with this one, and my analysis of his Jesus chart with Uranian formulas and star placements adds more weight that he has the correct chart.
Astrology with the Jacobs involved everything revolving around the Ascendant (his son had the tattoo of Sagittarius on his arm, which was his rising sign, and the tattoo of Aquarius (his Sun sign)) was nowhere to be seen). I agreed with the importance of this placement to a certain point, but considered other points with similar importance as well. Needless to say, I broke away from their camp because I felt they were trying to turn astrology into a science with "cut-and-paste" transit guides that were very helpful but also very cloudy and nebulous at times in terms of predicting events.
Astrology is a craft, and it reveals possibilities (and not certainties). I've been involved with it for 28 years now, and I am still learning.
