12 year old Ma Nithya Maheshwarananda from Dallas, USA astounded on lookers this week as she began reading with a blindfold placed across her eyes. A talent she says that she gained by opening her third eye “ajna chakra”.

A photographer from the Rotorua daily post as well as others present at the reading, tested out the blindfold themselves and verified that it was impossible to see through the blindfold in any direction.

Participants and audience members were awed as the 12 year old girl did what is commonly considered impossible in reading things she couldn’t see with her physical eyes. Maheshwarananda was given a business card, a newspaper and a flyer and all of which she read word for word. 

Keith Garratt a New Zealand Sceptic Incorporated committee member attended the event quoted “We always say what is the most likely explanation, is it something supernatural or an illusion? In the sceptics movement we actually have quite a number of magicians because they’re aware that people can be fooled .” NZSI is a society that seeks to find rational explanations prior to believing claims of supernatural abilities.

However, Life Bliss New Zealand Member Barbara Hock quickly refuted this comment saying ” If you don’t believe it, just try a meditation first. If it feels good and you like it, try some more.”Everyone has the ability to have their third eye awakened but those sceptics who are so adamant that it’s a lie and need to prove themselves to be right may not be able to experience it.”

Maheshwarananda says she opened her third eye just over a year ago while attending a three week program. In this program the Master, by use of initiation and meditation, cultivates the inner dimension of yourself through activating the pineal gland and nourishing of extrasensory abilities.
