Author Amateo Ra: You might have had an experience many of us share: We get an idea, a thought or even a dream with a theme that truly inspires us, stretches our minds or opens us up to a greater understanding ourselves and our lives.

And, like magic, within a day or so, we find a book which not only confirms our thoughts and feelings, but goes deeper into the very idea we had than we even did. How cool is it the Universe works with such magic & synchronciticy?

Many of us have also experienced that moment where we find the perfect book at the right time, and it exactly addresses what we’ve been thinking about, wanting to learn more of or a story whose themes directly relates our current lives and experiences. I’ve decided to compile a list of 35-very special books which have fit this description for thousands if not millions of people. These are primarily lesser-known books, although there are a few you might identify or think are very popular.

By no means is this a complete list, as there are so many incredible books out there from amazing authors.  There are some obvious books written by Eckhart Tolle, Deepak Chopra, and Anthony Robbins that could easily fill a list this large, but these are some special ones which are less known and not marketed as much.  If there are any I missed, feel free to add them to the comments below!

1) The 5th Sacred Thing by Starhawk

This is a very compelling read that gives a raw and real invitation for us to examine how we are creating our Future. An epic tale of freedom and slavery, love and war, and the potential futures of humankind tells of a twenty-first century California clan caught between two clashing worlds, one based on tolerance, the other on repression.

2) Ask and It is Given: Esther and Jerry Hicks

Esther & Jerry Hicks have been notorious for delivering some of the most potent and popular books on Spirituality, and this Channeled text speaks straight to the heart. Ask and It Is Given goes deep into the law of attraction and is truly a wonderful tool for anyone wanting to enhance their manifestation abilities.

 3) The Life and Teachings of the Masters of the Far East by Baird Spalding

This is one powerful book! In 1894 a group of adventurous explorers set-out to learn more about the mythical Masters of the East, for whose seemingly impossible stories they had heard about. What unfolded next were firsthand experiences on their travels of the Master’s wisdom and ability far beyond any stories they had heard themselves. This rare book is a miracle itself and tells an almost obsolete story.

4) Be Here Now by Ram Dass

A classic book and more popular book on this list, which emerged during the early 70’s as Meditation & Spiritual practices were deeply making an impact in the West. It’s an artful read and an ever relevant reminder about being Here and Now.

5) Bringers of the Dawn by Barbara Marcinak

As you dive deep into Spiritual Studies, you will find that many have channeled extra-terresterial intelligence throughout the years, with profound implications. This book is 400-hours of compiled startling, intense and even humorous channeling, diving deep into our human origins, possessing 12-strands of DNA and the era of opportunity in front of us for our collective evolution.

6) Busting Loose from the Money Game

This is a notoriously famous book in many circles, which has had Global acclaim for it’s in-depth explanations of how reality is created and functions. Although it’s about way more than just Money, it invites us to question and really take a look about our beliefs about money and how it circulates through our lives. Don’t be put off by the cover, lol, it’s the real deal.

 7) Conversations with God By Neale Donald Walsh

This famous book series is a deep dive into one Man’s Conversation with the Creator of the Universe. It outlines the non-dualistic nature of consciousness, God’s role in creating the Universe and how Spirit’s presence can give us permission to embrace the unified experience of existence.

8) The Desire Map by Danielle LaPorte

A wonderfully powerful new book on the Spiritual-Business Scene. Danielle poses a very compelling thesis, that we aren’t actually just trying to manifest our goals and visions, but are actually seeking the feeling achieving those goals will give us. Basically, saying we have been going after our aspirations and dreams backwards, and need to start with desire.

9) Flower of Life Vol. 1 & 2 by Drunvalo Melchizedek

This book is essential reading for anyone on the Spiritual Path. Drunvalo’s remarkable ability to weave Spirituality, Science, Ancient History and personal story create one compelling workbook in understanding Sacred Geometry, the structure and Origin of the Universe and the important messages of Unity and Evolution that were left by ancient civilizations to inform us to carefully craft our future.

10) Food of the Gods by Terrence Mckenna

Terence McKenna, bless his soul, was an extraordinary mind and person. In this book he outlines, with anthropological evidence, how the use of psychedelic mushrooms may have been unequivocally related to our leaps of in evolution from monkeys to humans. He also talks about the potential use of psychedelics to adjust the misguided nature of modern medicine and psychology, and presents a new framework for society to return to nature as solutions to its destructive shortcomings.

11) Gene Keys by Richard Rudd

If you combine modern day astrology, the I Ching & genetic science with metaphysical wisdom, you get the Gene Keys. This book breaks down each codon of our DNA into lessons and gifts, and invites us to look at our design to understand the deeper stories playing out within our lives, while giving us a direct road map to our most-actualized and enlightened selves. Seriously, an almost unbelievable masterworks.

 12) Hands of Light by Barbara Ann Brennan

One of the most important books of all time for anyone interested in energy healing of any-form. This classic book is actually rooted in Science, examining auras, psycho-dynamics, energy fields and more. She truly bridges the guide, providing an essential workbook to understanding how we as humans are instruments of light, energy, color and healing.

13) The “I Am” Discourses

A man named Godfre Ray King went on a Spiritual Expedition to Mt. Shasta, and encountered the Ascended Master St. Germain. He then dedicated many years of his life transcribing St. Germain’s teachings into what we now know as the “I AM” Discourses, which is a full on crash course to self-mastery, growth and spiritual enlightenment.

14) The Book of Knowledge: Keys of Enoch by JJ Hurtak

This beautiful & illustrated classic was far ahead of its time. It’s literally a decoded understanding of the Universe, and how we are at a pivotal time in which we shall activate the sequence of our DNA as we return and ascend into the realms of Light. Hurtak was taken to an almost beyond heaven like experience, we he was downloaded with the entire book by a being named Enoch. It touches on Kaballah, Christ Consciousness and how we can open ourselves to the Divine.

 15) Loving What Is by Byron Katie

A journey into how Byron Katie spontaneously awoke on the floor of a halfway house, at rock bottom, and found her way to deep and powerful spiritual understanding, beyond suffering and confusion. She brings the real work.

16) Mastery by George Leonard

A more recent book which gives a deep scientific look at what creates success patterns, and how we can create masterful, rich, fulfilling lives.  It addresses in detail why major changes we try to make don’t stick, and how others prevail in mastery of these same things.

17) The Akashic Record Player by Antero Alli

Very likely the most obscure book on the list, this book was given to me by a dear friend, cover missing and synchronistic clues penciled in on the pages. It’s playful and whirlwind of a journey discusses how Earth is simply an Akashic Record Player spinning through space and presents a cunning yet simple solution to the disorder of our Non-Stop Geomantic Conspiracy.

18) New Earth by Eckhart Tolle

Perhaps the most famous and notorious book on the list, this book is too important to leave out. This narrative discusses how we can transcend our ego-based limitations at the root of all suffering and despair in the World, and how we can awaken to a new state of consciousness founded in following the path of a truly fulfilling existence.

19) Nothing in this Book is True by Bob Frissell

Bob is like a Spiritual Journalist, and this book has ways of finding people at very special times in their lives. The description says it best: “This book is an account of humankind’s function within the grand celestial battle between internal and external knowledge. Author Bob Frissell gives a compelling account of our planetary ascent into higher consciousness, presenting a big-screen view of the Earth through the experience of the Ascended Masters, Thoth, Babaji, and Drunvalo Melchizedek.”

20) Oneness by Rasha

A notorious life-changer, clearly transmitting the principles of Oneness in ways create indescribable experiences for the reader.  As it illuminates sincere reflections of our origins,  we discover clues that inspire us to create the kinds of lives we long for and help us release the energies that prevent us from realizing our dreams.

21) Return of the Bird Tribes by Ken Carey

One of the most beautifully written and elegantly channeled books I’ve ever encountered. It offers profound wisdom teachings of Unity and Oneness, through the narrative of Native American traditional story telling. Truly, a compelling and deeply touching work.  22) Sacred Commerce by Ayman Sawaf & Rowan Gabrielle

This beautiful book takes the reader into a deep journey of the Merchant Priesthood and how Spirituality and Alchemy was at the core of Commerce from its inceptions, and invites us to take participation into creating a positive fut.

23) Seven Spiritual Laws of Success Deepak Chopra

This is another book that combines the principles of Spirituality with creating Wealth. It’s teaches us how we can align ourselves with the subtle vibrations in the Universe that simply allow more energy to flow in our lives. Reminding us, it’s the flow of energy itself we seek.

24) Soul Psychology: Ascension Manual by Joshua David Stone

I’ll say this book is probably the most important Spiritual publication I’ve ever come across, for me personally. It goes deep into the studies of the psychology of our soul, while giving us a direct road-map on the path of Ascension. From working with Cosmic Guides, to Auras, to practical strategies for living, it’s a support tool that always adds to the moment.

25) Tao Te Ching by Lau Tzu

A book which has gained a lot of popularity in modern times, likely due to the fact it boldly addresses some of the predicaments of being human, and imparts timeless wisdom which can be put into action in our modern times. It offers the unifying perspective which renders all things peaceful, the way of the Tao.

26) The Book by Alan Watts

As you can see in the photo above, the subtitle of this book is: On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are. It’s absolutely that and so much more. A self-proclaimed witty attack on the illusion that the self is a separate ego that confronts a universe of alien physical objects. Pure enlightening magic, this book is.

27 The Education of Oversoul Seven

This book is so far ahead of its time it reincarnated before it ever existed. Whatever that means, lol. I love this book so much, as it’s an endearing narrative that follows several people in different timelines of reality who all share one common connection, they are part of the same Oversoul. The book is written from the perspective of a Higher-Self working to learn more about itself through the embodiments its incarnated through. Seriously, right? And it was written in the 70s. Jane Roberts is classic, and this is a really amazing brave attempt at telling the story of the nearly indescribable.

28) The Televisionary Oracle by Rob Brezsny

This book is one wild ride through synchronistic half-awake dream realms, made of rock stardom, mystery school traditions, ancient blood lineages, modern symbolism, all delivered with poetic justice. I recommend this book to everyone I know, and only few have been bold enough to read the full thing; they thank me profusely afterward. It’s a reality game changer.

29) The Secret Doctrine by HP Blavatsky

In print for over 100 years, the Secret Doctrine remains one of today’s most comprehensive sourcebooks of the esoteric tradition. Challenging, prophetic, and strikingly modern, it directly addresses the perennial questions: continuity of life after death, purpose of existence, good and evil, consciousness and substance, sexuality, karma, evolution, and human and planetary transformation. If you don’t know about HP Blavatsky and Theosophy, I highly recommend looking into it, as they say “There is no Religion Higher than Truth.”

 30) The Seven Sacred Flames by Aurelia Louise Jones

One of my favorite books of all time, and probably one of my most often used. This gorgeous book, with golden trimmed pages, gives a powerful description of each of The Seven Sacred Flames, the Masters who oversee them, the crystals that coordinate with them and so much more. Each Flame has its own Prayers & Mantras, and I go through periods where I use this book daily for my invocations.

31) The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer

What would it be like to free yourself from limitations and soar beyond your boundaries? This powerful and stunning book gives a proper introduction to doing deep work within your inner-space, transform yourself and your World around you. To free ourselves from the habitual thoughts preventing us from achieving true presence with the moment.

32) Three Waves of Volunteers and The New Earth  by Dolores Cannon

This incredible channeled text describes at during a pivotal point of our Earth’s history, Cosmic forces saw that we were on a path of imminent disaster, and due to the rule of non-intervention, sent waves of beings from Source, various Star Systems, Dimensions and beyond to incarnate upon the Earth to guide its ascension. If you are reading this, it’s likely you are one of these waves of volunteers.

33) Way of the Peaceful Warrior by Dan Millman

I haven’t read this book personally, but have heard raving acclaim. Here’s a snipet from the traditional summary:

Way of the Peaceful Warrior is based on the story of Dan Millman, a world champion athlete, who journeys into realms of romance and magic, light and darkness, body, mind, and spirit. Guided by a powerful old warrior named Socrates and tempted by an elusive, playful woman named Joy, Dan is led toward a final confrontation that will deliver or destroy him.

34) Womb Wisdom by Padma and Anaiya Prakasha

This book is a must have for all Women and Men alike on the path of Awakening. It tells the story of how our Womb and Hara (for men) space closed down in ancient times, and gives in-depth explanations and practices to open, heal and activate the deep center living within our body.

 35) You Can Heal Your Life by Louise Hay

One people I know are asked what is the most influential booked that dramatically shifted your entire life, this is the answer I most often hear. This is a true empowering classic. Louise’s key message is: “If we are willing to do the mental work, almost anything can be healed.” The author includes how she cured herself after being diagnosed with cancer.
