This nice little booklet goes back to 1641. Descartes wrote those lines and introduced in Europe a new era of thinking.
In a few lines he approaches the thought of God, body and soul. He is doing it by introducing his experiences of doubt. The meditations expose first Descartes`famous sentence: Cogito ergo sum - I doubt and therefore I am.
There is a fine translation in English. There is no need going to a book store. The Meditations are online.
I strongly believe that everybody should read that little booklet, for it is fun following Descartes` thoughts and it helps keeping a rusty brain working. Those lines have written history.
