Okay, so my experience is not with a Christian angel, but with an excellent guide and protector from the Buddhist tradition. I have this Tibetan Buddhist deity practice that I find very helpful to me as he has helped me out through many problems and issues, over and over again, but he is currently being banned by the Dalai Lama and his practitioners are being prosecuted in Dharamsala. Also, talk of him is not allowed in other Buddhist forums, the administrators ban people who mention even his name...when the Buddha encourages investigation! The name of this deity is Dorje Shugden, and there is a lot of resources of him online....I feel it is so unfair that he is being 'suppressed'. At least...read about him before deciding whether or not to follow the Dalai Lama or not...many of his haters do not even know who he is.
He is said to help anyone who needs his help and is famous for dispelling black magic as well as bestowing wealth in times of need. Personally, he helped pave my spiritual path in times of struggle....I really hope that he would help you guys too. My experience with him was a very positive one, although he cannot communicate in words but he will give you protection and help. My point of posting here is a way to thank him for the help he gave and I hope that he would help you guys too in times of dire need.

And oh, btw, Lama Yeshe is a huge practitioner of Dorje Shugden along with Lama Zopa before the ban. Kopan, his monastery, used to hold huge and elaborate Dorje Shugden pujas every month.
Dorje shugden was the source of FPMT's growth. When they abandoned Dorje Shugden, FPMT stopped growing almost immediately.
Y'know it is very sad to see that people are using Dorje Shugden as a basis for discrimination. I have once heard that Pabongkha Rinpoche is one of the most influential lamas in Tibet, and lay followers from other traditions converted to Gelug en masse, and it was around that time where nasty rumors were spread against Pabongkha, the most famous one being that he threw Guru Rinpoche's statue into the river. The very sad part is that this rumor was passed on as a fact by several lamas, namely the former kalu and changdud tulkus in their memoir and modern scholars such as david kay and george dreyfus passes this off as a fact. Pabongkha could never have done that because he holds Guru Rinpoche in very high esteem (i wonder how did our two modern 'scholars' miss this crucial point?)
The CTA uses it as a propaganda tool to influence people and spread fear. Did you know that the current reincarnation of the Dalai Lama's junior tutor, Trijang Choktrul Rinpoche was given death threats while he was studying in Dharamsala at the age of 12 by the TYC? CTA did nothing to protect him. Later he had to disrobe and go to the US, while his Ladrang in Ganden was immediately seized. But he still became a brilliant teacher. Do you think it is right to kill the Dalai Lama's own Guru? This is the kind of insanity this ban has brought about.
Or what about Guru Deva Rinpoche who raised a lot of money for the CTA and for all 3 great monasteries? he is a mongolian lama and is also believe to be the emanation of Wealth Shugden. After the ban, he was quickly alienated and decried as evil for practicing Dorje Shugden, but the monasteries and CTA continued to use his 'tainted' money. Such hypocrisy!
There's also Kundeling Rinpoche who spoke up and tried to take the Dalai Lama to court for enacting the Dorje Shugden ban. His previous incarnation had a huge and rich ladrang in the US. Because of this, the CTA decided to install another Kundeling Rinpoche to inherit the massive wealth. And the real incarnation is quickly sidelined and demonized.
The current Pabongkha Rinpoche was not spared either. The CTA would send people to talk to his sponsors and turn them away from Pabongkha Rinpoche at every turn, saying that he is evil etc. Is this the way to treat a Lineage Lama?
There is also Zemey Rinpoche who wrote the yellow book, which was not meant for public reading but it was made available for everyone anyway, and the book was misinterpreted grossly. The other 3 traditions quickly used this as an excuse saying that it is proof of Dorje Shugden's sectarianism when it is not so. The characters that were 'killed' by Dorje Shugden were done so to prevent them from committing more negative karma or from misleading even more people. One of them is the 8th Demo Locho Rinpoche who was accused of trying to hex the 13th Dalai Lama. the 9th one came back fine, and is teaching in FPMT centers, which shows that the 'deaths' are beneficial. Again, things are taken out of context.
There is also Geshe Wangchuk's car accident which was blamed on Dorje Shugden. There is an alternate story, where he was actually murdered. It is said that on the day he rode the car, he told all of his assistants to stay back and he travelled alone in the car. The driver then smashed the car off the ravine and escaped, but Geshe Wangchuk crawled out of the wreck and immediately engaged in meditation.
In the western world, this issue has given birth to many zealots who would be very offended at the mere mention of Dorje Shugden, which is why almost all Buddhist forums ban any mention of his name, which perpetuates the ignorance surrounding him. And that is the whole objective of the anti Dorje Shugden people because to promote ignorance is to further their agenda of keeping people to their side, and to pull people to their own tradition as they will say things as "dont go to lamas who practice shugden, or if their lamas practice shugden" which is ridiculous as every single living Gelug Lama now is either directly or indirectly involved with Dorje Shugden. Effectively, its like saying that Gelug is bad.

The ones that I watched was by Al Jazeera and also a French TV station. I am not aware of any fake videos of that nature. There is proof everywhere that Dorje Shugden practitioners are indeed being oppressed everywhere in Dharamsala, which I am suprised that you did not notice while you were in Dharamsala. Here is one:
This is a pharmacy that will turn away any patients that are Dorje Shugden practitioners, no matter how sick they are. Because Dorje Shugden practitioners are not human?
Also, perhaps, you also fail to notice posters that reveal the names of Dorje Shugden practitioners all over town, with bounties and exhortations to discriminate against them?

Hi Featherwinger, I have turned deeply into my heart about the Dorje Shugden debacle and if i omit my preference and bias leaning on the Dalai Lama, i feel that Dorje Shugden is indeed a deity that has gone through a lot of indignation and many people who hate him dont even know who he is or who are his previous incarnations, what he can do, or the very mere fact that Tibetan Lamas who practice him seem to be more successful in general. I know what is right and what I want and I will not follow the crowd but stick to what is right.
