I am very close with my cat, Chakra, and lately she has been acting so strange. It has been raining for the past 3 days and she is going crazy to get outside and lick the rain water. Usually I can keep her inside but while its been raining she just stares outside, meows constantly, looks back at me, back outside. I feel like she knows something that I dont. So she has had her fill of rain water and today is sleepy more than normal. And I have a friend who says his dog is acting strange too.
Anyone else notice their pets acting different?

Hello, I have two cats and one is usually very active; and now she is asleep most of the day. The other cat is following me everywhere and doesn't want to be alone. He has spent a long time leaping up towards the door knob on my bedroom door to try and let himself in; while I'm sleeping. This is brand new behavior, so I do think they know something is happening. My little dogs seem to be OK.

My dog has been acting totally squirrelly lately too. She keeps staring intently at things in the house like she is seeing things I cannot see, like she will be on the way to the couch to jump up for a snooze and will stop almost mid step and perk her ears up and just stare and the hair on her back raises up. She growls, cowers, pants heavily, sometimes tries to crawl under my recliner.....not a good place for her as she is well over a hundred pounds and cant really fit under there. It is like she is haunted. I thought maybe she was having seizures or something but when I took her to the VETS to have her checked out he said all her bloodwork came back ok and that she seemed fine, but that it sounds like there is something troubling her and making her anxious. She goes in and out constantly, glad I only have to open the door to let her out because my yard is completely fenced in. But she is definitely wonky lately. Sometimes she lays in the yard with her ear pressed to the ground for long stretches and just growls a low throaty growl as though she is feeling or hearing something under the ground which makes me a bit paranoid myself, lol. So you are not alone with a weirded out pet.
