i been switching to raw food and today its the 8th day
basically i only eat only fruit and vegetable juice, and i am not a fan of the salads
i cut off all bread, rice, egg, anything that's man made...
it feel very good and energies to just eat raw, but these will never get me full
i am almost craving for anything that will make me full, any good suggestion for me to keep this up?

Another idea Victa is if you start buying baby coconuts from an Asian grocer.
The juice is absolutely heaven to drink, and you can cut the meat out of the coconut and make it into yogurt (if you have a blender). I just made some now and put blueberries in it! Yum! This will fill you up well and truly.
Just watch youtube vids and learn as much as you can about salad dressings, yogurts, nut milks etc.
woo... that sounds good~! ty
hi Victa
Plenty of water should do the trick. But it also sounds like you might not be eating enough.
After my morning vege juice, I have a nutmilk smoothie with banana in it, and I add a rice protein, hemp seeds and stevia. You could add Flaxseed oil to it as the oil gives a fuller feeling.
A big plate full of salad with lots of good dressing on it (like olive oil, lemon juice, apple cidar vinegar, herbs, sea salt etc) should make a difference. There a really lush salad dressings that MAKE a salad so tasty. Just 'youtube' salads/raw food and there's heaps of ideas for tasty dressings (that you prepare in advance and keep in fridge) in small jars.
once again thank you all for replying, i am really surprised that there are many people that eat raw here, and the speed of the reply~ I'll keep trying, thanx for all the tips, and yes i'll try to talk to my body. :D
wish you all the best~
there is no surprise to see so many on the health path and that is encouraging in it self..............
blessings....................
I hear U Bro ;-)
I turned Vegan a while back and it was harsh ;-(
I find a lot of good advice here, but noone seems to touch the topic of energizing.??
So simple question...
Do U remember to energize all U put in..?
To me it made the whole difference, and I have a suspicion it would to U as well.
Another aspect would be that it gets better and easier with time, which is exactly what your body needs: Time to "transform" to, be sustained by that diet alone.
Be very careful though. If U start feeling sick/dizzy/faint etc, U should ofcourse eat.. Then when U are ready for next step, go back on the raw diet. The periods of ON will be longer and longer, but dont starve yourselves.
When hunger sets in U could also try meditation. Have a talk with your stomach/body. Explain what U are doing and why and U will be surprised how much difference it will make to actually have your body understand and cooperate with U as your mind may be set on veggie/vegan diet your body may still be in the "old pattern".
My basic food intake today is energized water and melons. 2, maybe three melons a week and water. Its not hard anymore. Actually its hard to eat "normal" food today as I guess my body have reacted positively to the new diet ;-)
I had a brainfart some time ago and decided I needed, well not needed, but then atleast longed for a steak, fried potatoes, veggies etc, so I did. Veggies was fine, but the meat made me literally sick for days. As a dear friend of mine explained afterwards.. "How did U imagine your body would react to eating an animal slaughtered in fear and pain" and once she said it ofcourse I knew ;-)
Hope this helps/clears any for U..

eating every meal cooked is not so good, a little is ok but remember you are looking into the best benefits of what you are doing and cooking destroys minerals, vitamins to large extend.
wheat is great in sprouts and grass but cooked or baked into bread is not good to digest . if you crave bread check out raw recepies for it in www.rawisthelaw.ning.com...brother Chrislionraw there has some bad ass stuff...........
again cooked grains give your body too many carbs ...........
only raw diet will give you the most benefits that you are, hopefully , looking for...................
keep us posted as you progress...............
congrats on your new path to health
Now back to your question : you are propably hungry all the time 'couse your body is still not used to your new diet and it craves the old , big full kind of meal of carbs and the rest. Not to worry, with time you'll see. Since you eat a lot of fruit and just little salad greens I would suggest plenty of bananas, dried dates , avocados and just simply little of nuts. Little of nuts 'couse they are fatty and not so easy to digest in large amounts. Having little of soaked almonds daily is alright.
If you need a good advice I recommend www.30bananasaday.ning.com, they have plenty of experience in the field of eating mostly fruit.................
Welcome to the world of Raw Foods..................and don't be discouraged about being hungry , it will balance itself if you continue with this diet . I went overnight , it was hard at first but by 5th~6th month I became so normal and balanced that I stuck to this diet for 17 yrs now...................And experiment with what fits your needs the best...................
I'm about 80% raw.
I see you're in Australia but maybe you can find substitutes for what is available in America.
For me, giving up bread was a biggie. But there is a company called LoveForce that makes a great raw bread in many different flavors. I love the Sun-Flax Raisin raw bread.
There are also great raw spreads - like coconut berry spread (that tastes like jam to me) that you can put on the raw bread.
Raw, but flavored kale chips are another thing I eat often. Makes me feel like I am eating chips because they are crunchy and flavorful, but nutritious. Different brands of kale chips taste different, so make sure to try different ones out. Or, if you purchase a food dehydrator, you can make your own (although to be honest, I haven't had great success with making my own).
Smoothies, filled with raw ingredients and superfoods are another way to fill up. Shove all sorts of tasty stuff and spices (e.g., cinnamon) in there, put in a ton of ice and blend it up! Yummy!
Also, raw coconut oil is fatty, nutritious and gives you that full feeling. Add it to smoothies and experiment.
See if you can find a store that specializes in raw vegan food in your country - do a web search.
Finally get a raw food cookbook or two. I recommend the simpler ones at first.
Hope that helps!
