Spiritual Forum

For as long as we have been on this planet, we have been evolving spiritually.  It has not necessarily been a smooth journey.  We have gained and lost our spiritual bearings many times and have gone through long dark periods as well as days of enlightenment.  But we always keep evolving towards a higher order of awareness.  In our own lifetime, even if most of us didn’t notice it, in 1986, during the ‘harmonic convergence’ we experienced a slight shift in consciousness and a raising of our vibration.  This was when there was a powerful vibration hitting our planet and us, resulting from there being a number of planets in a particular and rare alignment with Earth.

In our own time, there is a deeply felt expectation among people everywhere that another shift in consciousness is just around the corner.  The general feeling is that it will be a very dramatic shift in consciousness, where we shall move from our current reality based on fear, separation, pain and suffering, to a reality based on Love, Harmony and Oneness – the “Heaven-on-Earth scenario.”  But it is also expected that the shift will be preceded by an extended period of chaotic breakdown and a total collapse of all existing financial, legal, governmental and social structures everywhere.

As you probably know, it had been prophesied at many different times down the centuries, and from many different sources, that there would be such a breakdown around the year 2012 and that it would be cataclysmic in nature.  There also seemed to be broad agreement about how it might look.  None of it pleasant.  These prophecies appeared in such places as the biblical Book of Revelation as well as the traditional texts of the Mayans, the Hopi Indians and other indigenous peoples.

The thing that is most frequently mentioned with respect to 2012 is the fact that the Mayan calendar comes to an abrupt end on December 21st, 2012. In more modern times, many of Edgar Cayce’s predictions for the new millennium concerned political upheaval on a global scale and ‘earth changes’ that would be cataclysmic in nature, but that it will be followed by a Great Awakening and a major shift in consciousness.        

The financial crash of 2008 might have been the beginning of the breakdown, and at the time of writing it appears to be ready to happen all over again.  Right now it looks like the calm before the storm. How this will play out we don’t really know.  However, if it goes according to the prophecies, we could soon be witnessing the death of civilization and the social order as we know it and the birth of a wholly new way of living and being. The long experiment with separation will be over. 

For such a breakthrough to happen, the breakdown of the old order and the world view that has supported it has to happen.  It’s the equivalent of a healing crisis and in that sense, will be perfect and all part of the divine plan.  A Radical Forgiveness perspective, no less. The question is whether you will be able to see it that way and hold that higher vibration even when things get really bad?  Or will you, like the majority, be drawn back down into fear and despondency?

Not everyone will choose to go with the change, apparently.  Many will resist the change and the degree of that resistance will determine how difficult and cataclysmic the transition will be.  This is why it is so important to begin preparing for it immediately by doing the work to raise your vibration to a level at which you will be able to maintain the Radical Forgiveness perspective, no matter what is happening.  Those of us who are awake can make a difference by applying our knowledge and tools not only to survive but also to be proactive in facilitating this shift.
