So it appears there are some very mixed views and beliefs on this site. I'm left to wonder at so many things.

I for one frequently have the sensation that I have been here before, perhaps lived this current life a thousand times. It leaves me slightly worried that I have zero control, and am just a body/mind at the mercy of chemicals I can't control.

Do people put a date on 'ascension'? This to me is just as ridiculous as the Christians doomsday prophecies and inclines me to feel disempowered rather then liberated. One thing I have come to realise is that time is relative to the individual, sometimes it feels like i'm moving forward, other times it feels like I am stagnant, and other times like I have been flung back into the past to live mundane days ive already experienced. I go on in these patterns, sometimes being self destructive and making the same mistakes. Although it might seem that I am erratic or out of control to 'Joe Blamichio' the accountant is my behaviour not just as cyclical and repetative as his?

I spend time on and off in Buddhist meditation and this seems to implant wisdom on my subconscious but acting out those values is not something that comes so easily. The Stoics believed that their noble virtues where something that a man must constantly work upon his/her whole life in view of becoming a wise and noble spirit. So I am left to think that 'ascension' is something akin to this, a noble and lofty goal that must be worked at throughout ones life. This sensation of an impending occurance is wishful thinking. And yes the universe goes through patterns and cycles so this process might happen sooner for some people and later for others (but this is irrelevant if we're eternal beings anyway) if it happens at all.

As for this multitude of information on channeling light beings, greys, aliens, conspiracies, thought police etc. No one really can give any clear answers or evidence, because perhaps there isnt any: everything exists in our minds and humanity as a consciousness has this unique ability to dictate a new reality. I have heard that scientists still can't explain exactly how a plane flies, I guess this shows just how lacking even that rational front is on so many levels. Honestly I have heard that 'Ashtar' is a benevolent light being, a hyper intelligent supernatual space travelling alien, a demon-incarnate, a hypothetical being made up by some crackpot sci-fi jester etc. So it seems no one can really make any true sense of what might be going on, all that matters is how any information I come across relates to me. I mean you can sit here and try and tell me how it is, but there will be another person next to you with radically conflicting views. So whatever.

Yoda had it right, but are we really incontrol of our own destiny or just following out a pre-ordained guide.

What is the purpose of being burdened with seemingly unanswerable questions?

I would hope its all part of the liberation process, but I guess i'll wait and see.

This feeling of change doesnt seem to affect many of the people around me, like friends and family etc. So it is hard to relate to anyone that I don't really know or trust.
