January 05, 2013 - SPACE - CNN's Wolf Blitzer and meteorologist Chad Myers discuss the near-Earth asteroid 2012 DA14 in the following video.
NASA says that the asteroid 2012 DA14 will pass within about 3.5 Earth radii of the Earth's surface on February 15, 2013. It will pass inside the geosynchronous satellite ring, located about 35,800 kilometers (21,748 miles) above the equator. The impact energy is listed as 2.41 megatons of TNT. Fortunately, NASA says this asteroid is not Earth bound. The asteroid rates as a 0 on the Torino Scale impact hazard scale.

This should be very interesting....I wish I had a telescope again....I had one but it got broken in my move from Maine to Florida....It was an expensive one....now saving up for another...Well probably someone will get footage of it and post it for people to see at least..I think it will be very interesting to see.....Glad they are saying it will not collide with earth, but will not be surprised when the spinmasters turn it into the next big disaster hype, haha....
Hahaha, they probably will :-P. I don't have a telescope now, either, so I guess I will be watching it on YouTube as well :-).
