My father was a criminal attorney who worked for Jim Garrison in 1968-1969. And for those of you who don't know who Jim Garrison is, he was the District Attorney of New Orleans from the early 1960's to the early 1970's. He remains the only person of our time to bring forth a lawsuit that accused the Central Intelligence Agency (along with Clay Shaw (a New Orleans businessman)) of conspiring  the murder of U.S. president John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963. Hence, JFK's murder is somewhat of an interest to me. 

I still remember that FBI agent at the front door of my east New Orleans home in 1969 (with both of my parents gone) insisting to me and my sister that he come into our house so he can use the telephone (and yes, the New Orleans attorneys involved in this case did have their office telephones wiretapped without warrants in 1969). I still remember my older sister saying "no mister, you can't come into our house with my mother gone." Note that this style of wiretapping (without a warrant) is now legal with Obama signing the NDAA act on December 31, 2011, at 10:00 PM in the White House. JFK would never have done an atrocity of this magnitude, but then he was too wealthy to be paid off and too popular, especially with his changing views on segregation, his low tax policy, and his standing up to the Russians and winning in a "blink-off contest" over the missle crisis in Cuba.

Basic astrology interpretation is similar to Uranian astrology in the sense that the first and primary focus is on personality. This includes Sun-sign placement of course, but planets in their rulership placements also have a huge effect on personality, as well as Acendant and planet-placement near the Midheaven. To keep it simple, this report will focus on Sun-sign placement. 

JFK had the Sun in Gemini. Charles CEO Carter said that Gemini rules pen and paper, as well as the reading of that of pen and paper. Thus Gemini is an intellectual mutable air sign, and Geminis usually succeed in roles of teachers or researchers, as well as writers and speakers. I notice a lot of lawyers and teachers have this placement, but so do those who excell in explaining and understanding the broad details of a specialized area or event, as well as having an excellent ability to memorize information for a purpose (i.e. acting, languages, computer science, etc.) 

Geminis are usually curious into areas that are aspecting their Sun placement or the house placement. JFK's Sun placement is not in strong aspect to any of the other planets, so we look at the house the Sun is in, and the ruler of the house. JFK has his Sun in the eighth house, and his eighth house is ruled by Venus with the house cusp at 20 degrees Taurus 27 minutes. Venus pretty much works well (per aspect) with all the other planets, except Saturn and Neptune (and maybe Pluto). But Venus and the Moon have a square aspect going on, and squares represent tension or technical conflicts. Note that the  eighth house represents the secret areas of life that one usually doesn't discuss with just anybody (i.e. sex, banking, taxation (JFK remains the only Democrat president that believed lowering taxes on everyone would stimulate the economy), important secrets, insurance, one's net worth, the occult, and yes, death and after-life mysteries).

Venus represents important relationships and friends in a broad and social manner, and the Moon represents relations with those who are part of ones "family," be it by blood or with those who one may trust their life with due to knowledge of intimate details of such "family members." Hence, it's probable that JFK would need to work on being careful with upseting his relationships with others due his curiosity into such eighth house areas, especially with those who are close to him. Sex was definitly one of these areas, and JFK was a well-known womanizer. Note that his wife reportedly got so fed up with this aspect of JFK that she reportedly had an affair with Frank Sinatra for revenge (and that is a classic Moon square Venus aspect, as the Moon on a man's chart usually represents the woman in his life (per Uranian astrology) and is in a conflict aspect (square) with Venus (which rules relationships).

Gemini is also a sign that likes to stand by itself once the truth is known. Gemini is the nonconformist of the horoscope, and likes to stand up to others with the facts of the matter, regardless of custom, legal interpretation, or hurt feelings. But secrets is another eighth house area of rulership, and JFK was curious with the facts regarding the non-government powers that run the Federal Reserve, the Central Intelligence Agency, and the banking community (and how all these powers were (and still are) interrelated with each other). This curiosity may have been what caused more conflicts on a much higher and powerful level that eventually led to his murder (this will be discussed in part 2 of this series). He reportedly shared these secrets only with his brother Bobby (who was U.S. Attorney General at that time), but JFK sometimes talked too much with those he shouldn't have trusted (note that one of his more famous open quotes was "I will destroy the C.I.A." Former U.S. president Richard Nixon was right: HE DID HAVE BALLS).

Hence, as an astrologer, my advice to JFK (by virtue of his Sun-placement) would have been that while he would excell in areas related to the eighth house (since his Sun position was not in aspect with any other planet and hence well-aspected), he must be be careful where the Gemini need for his satisfaction of curiosity (into eighth house matters) would lead to, as conflicts with those close to him would be probable. Be smart, but know when it's time to draw the line or risk relationship problems.
