Life is the union of yin and yang. There is a balance of light and dark within all. Do not be deceived into trying to become a one dimensional character. The effect of effort is like an air conditioner, but even with constant effort the balance of cold and heat can be changed only so much.
This is something we almost always tend to ignore. We may criticize someone for being a slob, while there may exist someone who is obsessed with being clean, but is secretly a murderer. Now which would you rather have? If you try to become too Ascetic or Hedonistic it will surely backfire.
The darkness that will tend to manifest in a good person is: laziness, sloppiness, clumsiness, sorrow, loneliness, anxiety, delusions, loss, etc. All powerfully negative, but the darkness is mainly turned inward. Is this better then craving power and money, treating people like objects, being a tyrant?
As it is said "The sun shines on the righteous and the wicked." Think not to eliminate those dark qualities, but instead make a place for darkness. You cannot completely have 1s or 0s, but you can change with 1s and 0s are what. This is the basis for being able to make any changes in the matrix.
Now with this in mind, what do you think you get from becoming a saint or a lightworker? Understand that people with supernatural powers get them through contracts with spirits and these are binding to the persons soul. Even the God of the Bible is considered a Spirit and the king of the spirits. It is described as being a jealous God, but the reality is most spirits are exclusive with their contracts.
This is place full of people who have made contracts with such entities, that in reality is necromancy. I suggest reading this book you can find online called "30 years among the dead." http://new-birth.net/booklet/30_years_among_the_dead.PDF There are many ways in which the dead obsess the living and shows us just how deep that influence can go.
Remember that to seek Truth is to love God. Your imagination can overcome any delusion with sufficient exercise of ones heart and mind.
