For those of you living in the United States, here's a map defining what to expect in terms of visibility of the eclipse. The best place for a total blackout view of the Sun is Carbondale, Illinois, home of the Southern Illinois University Salukis (and it is a party school like no other!)

A solar eclipse can be best thought of as a New Moon on steroids. It is a good time for quiet meditation or prayer; it is not a good time for parties or social get-togethers, unless such are quiet and free of commotions that may invite friction. And it is definitely not a good time for involvement with the occult since the energies may be too intense to work with. A good similarity for comparison of this type of occult energy involvement during a solar eclipse would be for one to stick their finger in an open electric socket. And yes, there are rumors  that the Wiccans and other occult organizations may try another spell against Trump like they did in Spring 2017 during this eclipse. Talk about wasted energy.

I have noticed patients to have stomach and intestinal problems during both solar and lunar eclipses, along with nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting issues. Thus, be very careful with what you eat and drink.

The Horoscope Chart of The August 21, 2017 Solar Eclipse

The lineup in Leo is impressive, with fire trines of Mars with Saturn and the Sun/Moon combo with Uranus. The midpoint of these two trines (24 degrees Leo 47 minutes) is very close to equality with the Ascendant at 25 degrees Scorpio 9 minutes. This combo of Sun and Mars trines forming a square to the Ascendant defines this eclipse to involve possible ego challenges in the environment, so please try to be nice.

Solar Eclipse

There seems to be much in terms of material concerns with the combinations of stars taking place during this eclipse. Also of concern is the possibility of anger or resentment concerning contracts or business interventions.

This is not a good time for important business matters that concern money. And this is regardless of how well one is acquainted with "the art of the deal."

On that note, let's look at how this eclipse may affect President Trump:

The Solar Eclipse takes place very close to his Ascendant (circled in orange). This appears to indicate major changes taking place in Trump's environment, along with possible intense conflict taking place between those he considers "family" and those he does not consider to be a part of his "family." And with transiting Venus forming a conjunction to Trump's natal Venus/ Saturn conjunction (circled in blue), expect more conflicts with certain relationships (Venus) within the government (Saturn) as some individuals may be forced out of the president's inner circle.

Adding fuel to the fire for more conflicts with others in the home (or the White House) are the combination of the transits of Saturn and the Black Moon Lilith forming a conjunction to Trump's natal Moon in the 4th House (circled in red). We can expect very major changes about to take place regarding who will be allowed to be close to the president and who will not, and the aftermath may be riveting.

Trump still has his lucky Pluto Square Jupiter transit going on (circled in purple), and this will help with making speculative choices regarding budgetary and other important financial decisions. I don't know if this Pluto Square Jupiter transit is the tax cut that Trump promised which may cause upheaval defined with this solar eclipse event, but it's possible.
