This series will focus 2016 predictions for the horoscopes of key players of "old Europe." I chose the United Kingdom, France, and Germany for this astrology survey.
United Kingdom
Spring Equinox, 2016, U.K.
Transit Uranus in the U.K. 7th house ("surprises with foreign policy") will be forming a square ("conflict") with the U.K.'s natal Moon placement ("the general public at large") in the 10th house. This may indicate "a controversial position" or "a surprising change" in areas of "foreign policy or treaties" which may generate conflict with the voting public at large, or those in the public who have been loyal with the state for a long time and may have unanswered questions. This is drawn in red below.
Interpretation
Uranus can represent "terrorism," and this remains a wildcard possibility. But Uranus primarily rules "surprises," and these surprises can be also be "shocking" at times. One-on-one confrontations in the form of a disgruntled public with government officials looks probable, and disagreements about certain types of "foreign policy changes" (transiting Uranus in the 7th house) is another possibility.
Saturn Conjunct Mercury (with transit Saturn and natal Mercury in the third house) may indicate a censorship of the media in some manner, or a restriction in access to some sort of important information. This may be related to unique changes in foreign policy areas, and the use of secrecy in certain areas of foreign policy may also be fully implemented.
Summer Solstice, 2016, U.K.
Transit Mars (in the 2nd house of "financial resources") forms a Square to natal Saturn in the 11th house ("government associates" and "old friends.") Transit Uranus (in the 7th house) is forming a harmonious trine with natal Saturn in the 11th house at the same time. Transit Saturn forms a Quincux ("slight tension") with natal U.K. Mars in the 8th house.
Interpretation
This may indicate potential hot disputes or debates over money or public funding during this summer of 2016. It's possible that some old and important associates of the U.K. government may be involved with this dispute as well. There is the possibility of certain financial tensions at this time (especially with the general public), but only of a slight type. I don't see any bank runs or credit card moratoriums taking place, at least not yet.
Fall Equinox, 2016, U.K.
Foreign policy themes may still be an issue at this time due to the presence of transit Uranus (in the 7th house) trine natal Saturn (in the 11th house). "Sudden good news" (Jupiter Conjunct Uranus, circled in purple below) may be in "the environment" (the Ascendant) for some reason.
Interpretation
This transit may indicate important good news for the U.K. This may include a victory with "enemies of the state," such as terrorists or organized crime. But it can also mean a victory for freedom in some way, especially regarding information networks (such as the internet) and exposure of important information affecting many. "Sudden good news" is the primary definition.
France
Spring Equinox, 2016, France
There is much in 8th house activity taking place at this time, and the 8th house rules "banking, insurance, tax collectors, and secret activities of the elite." The Mars Square Pluto transit (with transit Mars in the natal 8th house) takes place at the same time a Uranus Trine Saturn transit takes place (with natal Saturn in the 8th house).
Interpretation
This time-frame may indicate that there are concerns in the financial areas of France, and these concerns may include banking, insurance, tax collecting, and public funding.
Uranus crossing the Ascendant may indicate "revolution in the environment" in some way. This may include politics or arts, as well as communication improvements and communication freedoms (which may be related to the current political scene).
Summer Solstice, 2016, France
The natal Sun position of France ("the person or entity itself, the health of the person or entity") is under many transits at this time-frame. This is demonstrated by Saturn Sextile Sun, Neptune Quincux Sun, and Mercury Trine Sun. These are all drawn in purple below.
Interpretation
The expression of France at this time will be seen in terms of extreme public concerns this country may be having internally. This may include banking and finance, public services (especially health related), and public information concerning the internet or mainstream media.
Fall Equinox, 2016, France
Transit Pluto in the 10th house ("crisis or transformation of the ruling party") Squares natal Mercury in the 6th house. Uranus has crossed the Ascendant and is now in transit of the 1st house.
Interpretation
This looks probable for major protests and debates from a political perspective, especially regarding the current administration. There may be quite intense confrontations at this time from a political perspective, and with Jupiter entering Libra at this time, we may also see interesting ideas flourish in France that concern politics and government functions (going into 2017).
Germany
Spring Equinox, 2016, Germany
Germany has Transit Neptune (and Venus) in the 2nd house forming a Square to natal Neptune in the 5th house. There is an exact conjunction of transit Mars with natal Mars in the 11th house at this time as well.
Interpretation
Conflict over financial resources or public funds are a real possibility with the Neptune Square Neptune transit (especially with transit Neptune in the 2nd house ("financial resources") and natal Neptune in the 5th house ("speculation")). The Mars Conjunct Mars transit may add more activism if conflicts become mainstream, and financial-based resources may be the source of conflict.
Summer Solstice, 2016, Germany
A T-square forms (drawn in purple below) of transit Saturn and transit Neptune applying hard on the natal Neptune position in the 5th house.
Interpretation
This may be some sort of financial or speculative scandal. The presence of Saturn and Neptune together indicates "restriction of deception" applying to "deception of a speculative sort" (Neptune in the 5th house). This may indicate uncovering of speculative financial practices, and this may or may not be government related. The Uranus Opposition Mercury transit (drawn in light green below) indicates "shocking news" or "news information that is surprising."
Fall Equinox, 2016, Germany
The T-square of transit Saturn / Neptune to natal Neptune continues (drawn in light green below). Pluto retrogrades back into it's Pluto Square Pluto formation (which previously took place in January 2016. Drawn in red below). The Uranus Oppositition Mercury transit is still in force, and there may be more "surprising and shocking news information" (this aspect is drawn in dark green).
Interpretation
Financial concerns and concerns of public funding may be a big deal in Germany at this time. It is possible that there may be much in terms of news regarding certain debates going on in Germany, and the areas of concern with these debates may be related to financially sensitive manners that deal with public services or public funding.
