Are we always happy? The answer would be NOT ALWAYS. But why can’t we always be happy? That’s because most of the time our mind is with the past or with the future but not in the present. We are worried about the past which has gone forever and also about the future which has not come yet and which cannot be predictable.
Of course at times we can be happy reminding the past and dreaming the future. But can we just remind the happy moments? No…
So until we are stick to the past and the future we can’t free our mind. If it is a happy moment or a sad moment there is no difference. We see a difference relatively and we feel it happy or sad. But happy, sad or whatever all those are thoughts. And when our mind is full with thoughts we feel very nervous and tired. But when we have less thought in our mind we feel very calm and comfortable.
To have a free mind we should leave out all the things from our mind. It doesn’t mean leave out physically. Just let those things to be where they are and keep the mind away from them not giving any value. We cannot stop reminding our past as we want. But we can take away the value given to those thoughts. We feel those because we add values to them. But when we get rid of the values we feel free. When we add values to things they make us feel uncomfortable. It is common for physical things as well as mental feelings.
So if you want to be happy always (not relative happiness), live in the present and practise to free your mind by letting go…:-)
