Before the beginning, there was no time, no form, and no space - only absolute emptiness. Before the beginning, there was nothing...but you were still there. It is only our ego that makes us think that we are so much smaller than we really are.

In order to answer the question "Who am I?", in order to go back to before the beginning within your experience, you have to put your attention on the deepest sense of what it feels like to be yourself right now, and simultaneously let everything else go. Letting go means falling so deeply into yourself that all that is left is empty space.

Before the beginning of the Universe, before God and Gods introduced them selves in Genesis from the 4th dimension, You were still there, above the 12th dimension.
It to a Dimension of Gods and controller’s -- they created a book of code enforcement, thow shall Not this and that till it started choking the life out of the free spirit we came into this world with. Now its been around for so long its become Gospel, untouchable dogma in the minds of men, falling in love to a God of slavery and devotion? A mighty all knowing God who could not find Adam and Eve one night when they went into hiding from him? And at the Tower of babble the God’s got together and said unless we go down and change this one accord and single mindedness, they will be able to all that they think of?
For I am a jealous god and thow shall not have other Gods before me, admitting He was not the only One around?
God so loved the world he gave his only begotten Son? So he didn’t create us, the spirit not from this world but in it. And we are visitor’s from outside this God controlled earth.
I love you so much that if you don’t love me back and keep my code enforcement “I” Will cast you into outer darkness, that sure is loving of a jealous demy god (one of many). You Were Still There -- before all this code enforcement and Here Now, And When gods are Left Behind in there silly Dimensional play ground of control and deceptions.
Like a fancy car you got into a Cadillac or town car as long as your in it -- you drive around all over the place look at me see how great I look and feel you become the Cadillac.
Your just the Driver -- you were never supposed to become a part of the car. Or take over the car’s identity as a car -- your not the car, just in it, but not of it. And code enforcement is only for the car your driving, not the spirit that’s in it. Spirit was not manufactured by god or man - it came into it. The question "Who am I?" can't really be answered in simple words or experiences. We are before the world of form and thought and you can't fit what we are into that experiential box. We cannot know ourself we can only be ourself. The Self, or God, is a mystery as it can really be anything. To say "I know myself" is to define oneself as something limited since it can be known. This will not reflect the true and pure identity but will reflect our true and pure identity through the concept of whatever we mean with "I know myself.". The only way we can have an experience of our Self is to be our Self. That state of being will radiate an unconditional love and joy which is beyond this world.
Exactly right Eddie, this is what we are saying -the one who have said it - not for our benefit but for those yet to discover it for their own, or like a roll call for those who show up that are like minded.
This is also one area the PTB and the physical world will never enter its awesome halls with out dropping there worldly baggage some where along the way.

Yes before we came to / an birthed on this planet. we are not of this world but alas are in it chin deep in programs and religious code enforcement -- fore the physical condition.
For the spirit not of this world, has no programs or limitations to deal with and is aware of this complete deception for those stuck in the physical attainment of stuff and 3D life.
And since spirit is not of this world all attempts to describe or label it with 3D anything is fruitless. one can only point with analogies as even liken to / is still in this world and not of spirit.
To know the silent watcher - who i am is to like you said poignantly let go of all things and thinking of this world -- for it is not of this world but give's life and awareness to the avatar we occupy at present.
There is no path to this knowing. but a remembering what we were as spirit before being in this world. its the knowing of the world and all that’s in it that hides this not of this world spirit we are --- from us -- and as you said releasing or letting go of the world in silence and being still will this remembering who we are -- take a greater hold than ever before.
Spirit needs nothing of this world or the knowledge of it.
It already is. -- and complete. nothing of this world can be attached to it, or learn anything of it.
Its not of this world, the body or avatar needs all this world has to offer, but spirit in this world not of it. and that’s the great divide all on this side of the veil suffer. the things of this world have know meaning, or place in the spiritual world -- that’s why they say " you cant take it with you." and the one that has the most toys looses the sight of his spiritual self and who he is trying to find a way to cross to the other side with anything of this world.
And trying to save your life -- you shall loose it.
