Sixteen years after Foxhunting was allegedly banned in Scotland, the footage shows fox hunting is continuing, albeit in a way to protect livestock, pest control, and ground-nesting birds, but they still hunt foxes by flushing them out. This cruel, brutal act was witnessed by one hunt saboteur.
One Grampian hunt saboteur witnessed two fox cubs running out of woodland closely followed by their mother. The mother turned to face the hounds and just curled up, instantly the hounds tore her to shreds.
Fox Hunting
It was the first time this hunt saboteur saw a fox die in front of him, even though it was fifteen years ago, it is still strong in his memory, and will always be until the day he dies. The hunt saboteurs, put their lives, livelihood, and liberties on the line to try and stop this brutality.
"Many hunters support legalization stating the practice is essential for pest control and how if the hunt was banned how they would lose their jobs."
Unfortunately, UNILAD discovered a fierce battle between the hunters and activists as the debate continues.
"The police admitted to us last year, they have no idea of how to enforce this law, and if they were breaking the law, the police would allow them to continue."
Jamie Stewart, director of the Scottish Countryside Alliance, disagrees saying, “What we did in Scotland without contradiction, is pest control, although he claims the death of a fox is not taken lightly. He states that the fox is humanely killed by huntsmen in a practice where ‘there is no sporting element.’
Jamie Stewart claims that some activists state: "The hunters enjoy chasing the fox and seeing it being killed at the end, there is no other reason why these people would do this activity. We have also seen evidence of the kill being covered up because they don’t want it to be known that they are killing foxes."
Alas, the Activity continues and will do, until there is a stop to this brutality.
