This was a lot of research, and a lot of horoscopes to analyze (approximately 40). I am very certain the chart I selected is the real deal. My rationale for the chart is explained, and followed by basic interpretations.
The advanced astrology analysis will look at midpoints that concern the Buddha's death and confirm my chart selection as being accurate. Two type-3 planetary planetary pictures are also included that define enlightenment.
I am overall most impressed with the natal star placements and the placement of Venus during the Buddha's 35th year of attaining enlightenment. Overall, this horoscope definitely defines Buddha as an important guru and teacher with world-wide impact.
Enjoy, and namaste.
Rationale For Selection of Horoscope
CRITERIA 1:
Buddha was reportedly born during the first Full Moon of spring, shortly after sunrise. The chart selected has the Sun in Taurus (Fixed Earth), as opposed to Sun in Aries (Cardinal Fire). This is because Buddha was reportedly a very patient person, and this is a key personality attribute with a Taurus Sun (and not with an Aries Sun). Also note that Buddha reportedly became enlightened when he placed his hand in soil (earth) at age 35 while meditating under a tree. This reveals a strong connection with Taurus Fixed Earth as opposed to Aries Cardinal Fire. Cardinal Fire is associated more with action and competition in the environment than with stability or stable elements in the environment.
Buddha was reportedly born with the Vedic constellation of Pushya rising, and this is related to the sign of Cancer (and currently Pushya is defined with the Cancri star system consisting of North Asselus, South Asselus, and Acubens). The chart selected gives Buddha a Cancer Ascendant (As). This makes sense since Cancer (or the Moon near the Ascendant (regardless of sign)) usually defines round facial features and often "apple cheeks" according to the astrology websites of www.myastrologyblog.tumblr.com and also according to www.mysticlivingtoday.com . The placement of the Ascendant is also equal to the zodiac world points (at 0 degrees Cancer), and this makes sense since the entity (Buddha) would have an impact on the world.
Finally, the natal Moon is forming a strong Sesquiquadrate (135 degrees) aspect with the natal Cancer ascendant. Both the Moon and the Cancer zodiac sign rule food and the stomach, and the Sesquiquadrate angle is strongly associated with illness (and I had very severe muscle spasms to my back during Sesquiquadrate transits of Mars and Saturn (in two different signs) applying to my natal Sun position). Buddha reportedly died because of bad food, and this natal Moon Sesquiquadrate Ascendant placement may be related to this event.
CRITERIA 3:
Buddha's philosophy stressed that life was about the understanding of suffering and service, and these are both significant aspects of the 12th House. Buddha has Neptune in his natal 12th House with this chart, and Neptune rules the zodiac 12th House. Neptune is also in the sign of Gemini, and Gemini rules "speech, short distance travel, writings, contracts, pen and paper, radio, and communications." This strongly suggests that there was probably an aspect present related to communications of 12th House matters (i.e. suffering and service) with the natal Gemini Neptune in the 12th House. Also note that Neptune in the 12th House is usually very strong with individuals involved in "organized religion, health care, and public service."
The Jupiter aspect of "philosophy" applied to 10th House aspects of "career and reputation" is accurate with this chart. This is especially true with the placement of Jupiter in the 10th House and close to the Midheaven (MC). Similar to Neptune in the 12th House (with it's "service role" with religion and public works), this Jupiter placement in the 10th House is usually strong in the charts of clergy and priests, as well as with individuals interested in new age studies and metaphysics. The best psychic I ever met had Jupiter in the 10th house and was very close to the Midheaven. He was also a former aerospace engineer for Lockheed and a faculty member of the Berkeley Institute for Psychic Studies.
CRITERIA 4:
The chart selected has Saturn in the 10th house. This makes sense since Buddha would "take a fall from power" or a "fall from a high position" at age 29, the year of the first Saturn Return (or first Saturn Conjunct Saturn transit). Buddha reportedly left a kingdom and a life of a prince when he was 29 years old. This event would also take place while Saturn was in transit with the Buddha's10th House, and this 10th house transit usually defines "restrictions or limitations forced upon one's career or reputation."
Also note that Buddha was about to experience his Pluto Conjunct Ascendant transit during his 29th year. For an interesting comparison, I had my first interest in astrology a few weeks before my Pluto Conjunct Ascendant took place. My very first horoscope reading and inquiry into astrology took place a few days before this Pluto Conjunct Ascendant transit took place on my own horoscope chart. In terms of my view of "the environment and how others see me" (i.e. the Ascendant), I have not been the same ever since that Pluto Conjunct Ascendant transit. This is especially true in terms of career and interests; it is thus logical to state that both of these aspects (career and interests) may have also changed similarly with Buddha during his Pluto Conjunct Ascendant transit.
CRITERIA 5:
Buddha reportedly obtained enlightenment during the first Full Moon of spring and with "the morning star rising" when he was 35 years old. The "morning star" described is most commonly referred to as Venus, but it can sometimes be mistaken for Mercury. The chart selected has both Venus and Mercury rising (along with Jupiter and Mars) ahead of the Sun. Also note that the star of Antares ("Archangel Oriel; Watcher of the West") is directly overhead.
This Venus Rising chart also makes sense since Venus rules Taurus (Fixed Earth), and Buddha reportedly placed his hand in soil during his realization of enlightenment while "the morning star" (Venus) was rising over the eastern horizon.
CRITERIA 5 IS PROBABLY THE MOST CRUCIAL FACTOR THAT LED ME TO DECIDE THAT THIS CHART WAS THE BEST FOR DEFINING THE HOROSCOPE CHART OF BUDDHA. THIS IS BECAUSE VENUS RISING AHEAD OF THE SUN (during the first Full Moon of spring AND at Buddha's age of 35) COULD NOT BE FOUND ON ANY OF THE OTHER CHARTS.
CRITERIA 6:
Buddha died during first Full Moon of spring during his 80th year of age and after eating poisoned food (but the poisoning was not intentional). Buddha was travelling to a village and during a rest the food was reportedly offered to him from a poor person. Buddha reportedly knew the food was bad, but he did not want to insult the poor person by refusing it.
One interesting planetary picture with this chart is the Semi-Sextile fan with transit Mars in Aries (conjunct natal North Node), transit Sun in Taurus (conjunct natal Mercury), and natal Neptune in Gemini. The midpoint of Mars / Neptune can define "disappointing action, poison" and this midpoint can then be applied to the Sun Conjunct Mercury transit ("attention on travel; attention on communications").

(ERROR: my 2nd printout has Mars Conjunction Regulus, and not Jupiter Conjunction Regulus. According to Vivian Robson:
Mars conjunct Regulus: Honor, fame, strong character, public prominence, high military command.
Advanced Astrology Analysis of the Death of Buddha and Enlightenment (more confirmation of chart date)
The birth-chart features Saturn / Moon ("old people, old woman, isolation, old food") and Neptune / Admetos ("poison, narcotics") at 32 degrees 4 minutes.
The death chart at 32 degrees 5 minutes features Cupido / Vulcanus (" powerful corporation or organization, powerful family, powerful artist"). This may define "old food offered to a powerful organization," but the presence of a personal point (i.e. Sun, Moon, Ascendant, Midheaven, North Node, or 0 degrees Aries) would have defined this planetary picture much better.

Hello!"Happy Birthday Buddha!"Its probably no coincidence that I saw a man channel the Buddha this afternoon and discuss sexuality with those who were willing to listen like me,"Namaste!"
Thanks. I don't know that much about channeling, but you can meditate at sunrise (on May 14) with Venus in the same position as it was with Buddha when he attained enlightenment during meditation. Or, under a bright Full Moon.
