Changing my eating: Going Vegan!

I have decided to change my diet. I am going to make lifestyle change and go vegan. I am 37 and am ADHD indigo and I believe changing my eating will help with my ADHD (and also the other things that go along with being adhd, like depression, inability to forcus) I would like to know has anyone made a complete change in regards to eating and lifestyle?I also have been reading that vegan is not healthy, but what my belief is that it is healthy to consume a plant based diet. I know that it is the power of belief and the intention behind what you are eating that might be even more important than the food you actually consume. How did you do?What where the pitfalls?

  • good for you............... I am plant dieter only( raw foodist ) and what they say about vegan being unhealthy is bunch of crap.

its always those who never tried being one that always critisize the most. benefits are enormous and you will feel better, more energized and your mind will be clearer.8108793284?profile=original

Most likely you will find closer relantionship with mother earth and all of her life..............................

if you ever need any help or support , let me know.

  • @Gailene-thank you for responding....
I am doing this for health reasons, my mental state. I am hoping it will help with my adhd and the other things that go along with being hyperactive......I procrastinate as well, but with 11/11/11 feels like things should open and accessible (hopefully) I also watched the movie Forks Over Knives (a documentry) about food and the health benefits of changing eating behaviors, patterns.....there is always so much that goes with what we eat...I am going to have to start journaling....;) thank you, tentinyturtles

@butterfly, seems like a wonderful dish that I will have to try out...
  • Becoming vegetarian became natural for me.

I like it now, and just find that anything too heavy puts me off.

I have a big salad for lunch with some fried up (Malaysian style) marinated tofu which I cook in 1 tablespoon of coconut oil.

    I like it, simple meal.
