In simple english:

In maybe a year time, the Earth shall get hotter, and colder at different times, due to global warming.  Solar flares will become a problem and the sun may sends out blast which interrupts electricity or in worst scenario incinerate buildings.  During 2012 it will be very hot.

There are plans to take a few people by space, sea, and underground.

These 3 factions will become the Legends of the new world.

There are some who will be selected to become magi - those who are privileged to knowledge/secrets.  Those who knows everything shall be the new Gods of the new world, as they will be liken to Gods in term of what they can do in comparison to what the new world people can do after the rebirth of the Earth.

Many will survive the sundering of the Earth, but many will not, those that survives the transition without going in either factions locations will most likely naturally evolve.  It is those that will become the new tribe of the world.

The one that goes underground will most likely come out as leader of the new world, the sea people will  be the caretaker and the sky people will be its new watchers.

The current sky people are predominantly made up of humans, humans who have left the Earth in previous crisis, it is time for that again.
