Closing The Canon Of Scriptures

I could not find a better word to lable a behaviour I find it distastefull. So I called it the 'closing of canon of scriptures' mindset. It is named in the (dis)honer of the guys who declared once and for all that the words of God are contained only in some 66 books!! How of course one can squeez infinite knowledge within a finite book makes not even a tickle of sense.The omnipresent God is only found in JerusalemThe infinite knowledge is only found in 66 booksThe ever present God only shouts from the pastYet he is nearer to you more than your own clothes!But the biggest irony is that the claim itself is not found in the 66 books. So by its own standard, it is not a word of God!The closest one is in revelation:"I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book. And if anyone takes words away of prophecy, God will take away from his share in the tree of life,..." Revelation 22:18-19Good ideas often gives room for better ideas. One can often build upon them, modify them etc. But if when you modify them, 'God' will modify your ass, then they remain fit to whence they were writen, in this cas stonnage.Near the end of 18th centuary, a priest of modern scriptures named Lord Kelvin declared that the physics bible is about to be closed. If you cannot imagine how, then to many people, there is no how! Kelvin declared that there is nothing else to be discovered in physics! But guess what? At then, quantum mechanics and relativity, chaos etc were yet to be discovered! The guy was convinced that all dangerous animals were all dead when multiheaded mounsters were lieing just nearby in the ambush. It did not just sealed the cracks of the almost finished bible, the new ideas almost overtunned upside down the way they understood the world. Today, when they are puzzled with unsurmountable paradoxes as black hole thermodynamics, dark matter, quantum gravity etc, physicists nolonger make such ludicrous claims as those made by Kelvin. It seems that a new discovery rather opens a fresh can of worms.This 'closing canon of scriptures' warning is good for those who think that giving up the marathon race has something to do with the marathon itself and not themselves. When Heisenberg could not pin down where particles were, he decided to call this lack of knowledge a discovery on its own! This was perfected by Bohr who declared that if you understand microscopic world, then you don't understand it! The canon of scriptures were closed! We simply cannot understand the world better than Heisenberg, Dirac, Schrodinger, Borh etc. In quantum world, a lack of understanding is understanding! The new breed never attempted to brainstorm subatomic world. I mean how can you get a message from God better than Noah, Abraham, Moses, Jesus etc?

    The scientist in the adventure, seeking to discover the universe is usually the far more humble one! But scientists are not at all imune to the pit falls that ensnare religions. They soon narrow themselves only to what is in science books, which is not any much better than answering all questions by: 'it is written in the bible"
