CME's

Have you ever thought about what would happen if we experienced very intense solar flares? Back in 1859 there were some very intense CME's and they destroyed much of our telegraph systems around the world. Just think what that would do to our satellites now days. Think where we would be at, or how far back in time would that put us without our satellites. That's a very real possibility. The world as we know would stop. Not trying to spread any fear or panic here, but it might be good to have a plan in the event that something like this would happen? We rely on these satellites for so much. I think that there would be chaos in the streets, along with panic and what not. No TV, phone service, internet and that would be just the start of it. It might be exactly what humanity needs in some ways. What do you think?
