Colossal alien hunting telescope starts formal operation in China
China put the world's largest and most sensitive radio telescope into formal operation on Saturday.
The Five-hundred-meter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope (FAST) will provide astronomers around the globe with a powerful tool to uncover the mysteries surrounding the genesis and evolutions of the universe.
In particular, the colossal telescope will be used for the search of extraterrestrial civilizations in the universe.
