A few weeks after Google announced the completion of their paradigm-warping technologyGoogle Glass, this picture appeared in the G+ account of Google VP Sebastian Thrun. It was taken while he was playing with his son and wearing his Glass technology — basically, a pair of “smart” glasses that can give you a virtual overlay on the real world, sort of like you’re wearing your Android device in your eyeballs. Glass can take pictures too. And suddenly, when people saw what these pictures would look like, the idea of Glass caught fire. Thrun’s picture was shared by thousands of people, including Google founder Sergey Brin.

This first-person perspective image captures a kid’s smiling face, which isn’t remarkable — until you consider that it could never have been taken by somebody holding a camera at the same time. Before this, the public hadn’t really been sure what it would mean to wear a Glass device, other than getting a lot of ads trickling down the periphery of your vision. With Glass, you can record everything you see. Literally.

*Provocative multidimensional food for thought to say the least... of course the obvious answer is 'yes'... this photo already represents a radical change in the future. Humanities enmeshment with technology is growing at unbelievable rates. -

Perhaps the more meaningful question is: Is this a good thing? ~In Light

  • Knowing google and apple companies are controlled by the cabal I would not want to wear these, may sound a little paranoid but there isn't really much privacy left when you can be monitored wherever you go. Almost everyone has an iPhone and it works very good to point out where you are at all times, I almost regret buying one if it where not for the great photos I can take with it :P

    They mask their agenda with technology people really want, and therefor people feel a need to get these technologies ofcourse not knowing it may have a negative effect in the future. A smart idea to start warming up to the idea of microchips into your body?

    Ok sorry for the paranoid conspiracy-theorist I might sound like, I'm just saying it's good to be careful since you never know if there's a negative impact on your privacy.

  • Absolutely :-)

    • lol great point Nancy;

      i do wonder about these inventions;

      they can be highly distracting

      kind of like mobile phones, those have caused mega accidents on the road!

      <3

  • As for many inventions, this technology is not new at all, it just needed a famous company/person, to popularize it.

    But hey, is awesome, the good side is that it's from Google, wich is opensource friendly, the bad side is privacy...

    Anyway, I can't wait to the release of the glasses specifications :D

"You’re right. It must be in our Prussian roots! Our British DNA took a backseat lol. (Reserved for humour only) 😁"

"Hehe....It's Farage being too "British" with his words and desire to please all sides of a debate.....You and I are more "Prussian," a bit like straight talking Americans, too.....😁"

"Yes, I definitely agree. At least Zia Yusef cleared up that weird glitch for us, on 24th Feb. It’s good to see someone in that party doing the right thing. We don’t have the time or the patience for people pleasers lol."

"Agreed Movella...Frankly I have no idea why Farage would use such defeatist words, but I look at his shadow home secretary making an official speech on the topic of deportations and feel assured....That speech was on the 24th Feb, so undoubtedly…"

"I looked into it quickly and found that Farage did in fact say those words that AE quoted at a press conference on 17th February. I still believe that Reform is the best option available for the UK at the moment, but I will admit that Farage is not…"
