No the police, military forces that locked down Boston did not find the bombing suspect; it was a civilian going outside for a smoke that noticed the suspect in his boat, so martial law did not work. No the state did not have cameras that caught the suspects placing any backpacks, it was private film, private pictures. the more film I see and pictures I look over the more suspects I see. Should we be giving up our civil liberties so we can catch and photograph suspects? No, but we all know that once you lock down a town into martial law and get away with it, the government will continue to do so. We need to speak up now and tell the local, state and federal law enforcement entities, that we will not tolerate martial law. Are you willing to give up your civil rights and freedoms for safety, no we should not, more people are afraid of the government then they are of a terrorist. Why is this? A terrorist does not take our freedoms away, they may scare us for a short period of time, but the government is always there. I feel we need to vote into office people that will do their job according to the constitution. We the people are to blame for where our country is and were its headed, we voted them in; we are not saying anything when they violate our freedoms, so therefore we are condoning their actions. Tell your city council you do not condone placing cameras around town to watch your every move. Tell your representatives, no you do not want the state to place cameras or use drones to watch your every move. Tell the President you want him to abide by the constitution. It’s our country, it’s our state, take it back.
No you know how I feel. How do you feel about this?

when i trained in the early 80's to be a federal police officer they instilled in us that we are public servants, that the general public is the one paying our paycheck through taxes, today it seams that they are teaching them to be KGB.
Benjamin Franklin said: "Those who give up Liberty for Safety deserve neither". Agree 100%. All these bombings are scare tactics for us to give up our rights.
i agree Darkstar here is one of my favorite a quote from JFK: Mankind must put an end to war, or war will put an end to mankind.
exactly, darkstar..........................
I lived through martial law in Poland in the early 80's and let me tell you, americans dont know and are clueless about this situation. They are brainwashed in believing that this will help them being safe but dumb enough to agree with government(s) such attempts. On one hand I feel that such people deserve to be smacked in a face but on the other I have compassion for them for not knowing anything pass their idiotic jobs, internet, big screen tv , fast food and house bills.
We will see how this scenario plays out........................................
Assiya: Oh, God, I hope it doesn't turn out like Poland.
I migrated to US 3 weeks after last day of martial law which lasted 2 yrs. My mom was here already , for few yrs and she has no clue what it was like, but now adays we joke that we'll go back to mother land if shit hits the fan in yankee land.
Simply, I am not in a mood to experience it here in US again but I have plan B, just in case, small piece of land in back woods of Arkansas, with 2 teepee's and a yr long flowing small creek.
Assiya: Glad to see that you have an escape route!
Assiya can you please give me details on what you seen, how you felt, why martial laws was set and how long did they keep you in martial law? we as a nation need to hear your stories, so we can learn from your experiences.
to everyone else thanks for stepping up, if you know someone in Boston or in another country that has experienced martial law, please ask them to tell us their stories. Thanks Eric
that happened long time ago and I always wanted to put aside those memories however current situation in US forced many like me to have their memories refreshed. It started because the nation rose to the occasion, woke up from the governments abuse , lies and inflicted slavery in the hands. So, entire Poland went on strike . Communist government panicked and thats how the martial law started. The smell of crowd control gases was in the air every day.I never took part of those demonstrations but there were fights on the streets every day, 1.000's were arrested on some dubious charges. Some of them never came home. Tanks, soldiers, machine guns on every corner.Stores empty of its products, food is scarce. Government had fallen as a resoult of this but from perspective of time, Polish people kicked one tyrant in the ass while western ,european union and american influence slave master took over.
Anyways, that was wild experience and dont wish this upon any society.
These days I know that peaceful revolution can achieve its goal. All it takes is countries civilians bonding together and practice civil disobiedance . It always worked before and it will work in the future.
thank you Assiya. i agree civilians bonding together to help one another over come diversities. thanks again. Eric
