Just wondering on other's opinions here on the 'freedom of choice' when it comes to someone euthanasing themselves if they are ill (like 14 years), house-bound to the point they can hardly socialise, have a strict diet (that also makes it challenging to socialise) but even eating the organic foods does nothing for them.
Say Jesus appears to this person in a dream, and shows them 'paradise'? This then obligates the person who once believed in 'free will choice' to now endure more - right to the end right? After all the belief that we have 'free will' even through prolonged illness, means we can opt out but the consequences could be to reincarnate again.
I believe that we reincarnate. And I like to think that we can reincarnate back into a 'healthy' body. But we are likely to run our race again. And who wants to go through all this again? I've learnt alot through suffering, for most of it (I suppose the emotional) - I have no regrets - as because of suffering, I became 'awakened'.
But I also believe that we are running a race, and the race is calling us to 'graduate' either 3d or at least our journey here, so that we can move onto higher levels of learning.

If someone asks to be euthanized, they should be allowed to have that happen...end of story.

I'd never let my dog suffer if the time came when she was in too much pain or something.
We have free will for a good reason.
Yea, they even have a specialized clinic for it. I saw a documentary on it in the 90's (or maybe it was in 2000, it was so long I had a tv I don't even remember anymore).
There's no such thing as incurable illness.
But, many of my relatives and friends have chosen to kill themselves rather than going thru the long and hard and painful way to cure (re-birth is usually more productive for the evolution of the soul in the long-run) and I respect their choices and HONOR them for their choice since it's their choice and their's alone.

It's a gutsy choice that your relatives made. It's also one of love, where they consider they may have been too great a burden for other family members, if they were that sick.
And yes their choice deserves respect.
The "long and hard and painful way to cure" is a thing of the past.

Anyway, you don't need chemicals nor techonlogy to cure yourself. You already have it in you.
However, one must search for and find it in oneself. You can't TELL a cancer-patient to just start to heal himself since the trust in the process has to come first, which also includes a long process of deprogramming old beliefs that stand in the way. :)
This is a personal issue for me. To keep somebody alive against their will is pure inhumane torture. I would not hesitate to pass away. I don't think death and dying is bad or wrong and I don't think it should be out of my control or forbidden from my ability and right to choose. I absolutely support and fully agree with a person's right to choose to end their human life, in the most humane way possible.
