Said to 'mystify' experts, a sprawling, ancient city lies deep underwater off the Japanese coast. Who built it? How old is it? What do the strange symbols carved into some of the stone monoliths mean? Evidence suggests that the enigmatic city—that includes a pyramid—may have been built by a race of alien giants long before the history of Mankind was written.

Land of the Aliens
The sprawling city lies quietly, mysteriously entombed under gigatons of water deep below the sea off the picturesque coastline of a quaint Japanese fishing village.
Unassuming, the stone monoliths, crumbling walls, and massive pyramid have remained hidden for eons, forgotten by Mankind as the world continued its orbit around the sun and empires rose and fell.
Then one day the watery veil was torn back rvealing a city of wonder and awe: an alien city that some researchers believe was built sometime during the last Quaternary interglatial period known as the Sangamonian that occurred between 110,000 to 130,000 years ago.

Yonaguni Monument: submerged 'Disneyland of the Gods'
Long before there was a Japan, long before there were a Japanese people, the city stood. Silent, imposing, mysterious, abandoned.
Gradually the seas rose and the land fell. The city and all its wonders slipped from sight beneath the eternal waves.
Artist reconstruction of one of the smaller pyramids
But modern technology and intrepid divers rediscovered the city and its ancient wonders. Even though lost throughout the long ages in a cold, watery grave, the brilliance and fantastic imagination of its builders hasn't been diminished.

Steppingstones of the Gods ring the amazing city
One of the stone blocks that weighs many tons
The pyramid itself—perhaps a template for the human civilizations that follwed and copied its original majesty—stands majestically on the ocean floor, defiant to the elements and time itself.
What once stood on this foundation? A temple, or a skyscraper?
Divers to the city, officially adopted as a treasure of the Japanese nation, swim reverently amidst the ruins, gasps of awes interrupting their measured breathing from regulated air tanks.
Bizarre head has definite alien features, not human
There, to the right, is the head that once rested on a towering statue. It's a strange, head with an amazing face.
The face isn't human. The encrusted stone cannot hide the alien features blankly staring into the murky ocean depths, its empty eyes almost seeming to be hunting, seeking…what? The return of the alien masters?
Perhaps.
German radar imaging allowed this drawing of part of the massive city
Who is to say that a city once abandoned cannot be returned to, even after tens of thousands of years have passed into the receding mists of forever?
Alien Asia
It really should not be too surprising to discover an ancient city built by people from the stars off the islands of the Japans. It seems quite reasonable to find the Yonaguni Monument within the greater radius of Asia, for the Lands of the East have a long history of alien influence, contact and revered artifacts.
The legends of most Asian countries including Japan, China, Korea, and Tibet overflow with myths, legends and tales of alien masters, visitors, and beings so great they were like Gods.
The aliens built great cities. Some became cruel masters enslaving humans for a time. Others were like loving parents, while still others came here lost eventually dying far from their own home worlds. [See: Alien Base Found At Chinese Pyramid]
