I had something rather "co-incidental" happen today that I don't quite know what to make of, if anything at all. As I walked into a park that I often go to to relax and reflect on things, I heard that loud breaking and crashing sound. I went further in to discover a massive branch about ten meters long had broken off the tree. I think it was no co-incidence that I was there at that particular moment, but am wondering what it symbolised. Any ideas at all?

Sometimes things that happen in waking life are also present in dream world as well....here is what it means in dreams what a falling branch symbolizes. Don't know if this is anything pertinent to you but just thought I would share.
Falling tree branch meaning or dreaming of a tree branch:
Branches
To see branches in your dream symbolize good luck, growth, and new life. Alternatively, branches represent the relationships and communication between you and your family or relatives.
To see broken branches in your dream represents a personal or work-related problem.
To dream that a branch snaps indicates that you are under tremendous stress. Alternatively, the dream means that you are feeling emotionally insecure.
Maybe this is the universe telling you that you will have much growth and a new life, or a new relationship or improved communication with your family. Just putting this out here for you to think about. With that being said....there was a tree just on the other side of my backyard fence, and one day we had a fierce lightening and thunderstorm and the lightening hit a branch of the tree. Well that branch did not seem at all damaged or burnt by it outwardly, but one day about 3 weeks after it just dropped to the ground right onto my fence much to my surprise. Guess the damage was on the inside. Maybe that is what happened with the tree branch that you saw, healthy looking on the outside but fried on the inside. Ya never know.
Roaring Harmless I love this. You're going to have me wondering about this all night. Did the philosopher ever come to any conclusion? I don't remember which one it was.
Thanks for the reply guys. The only thing is that the tree was perfectly alive...
During the drought last year even live branches, usually very small ones, would fall from some of our trees. We have lots of trees at our house. But a healthy tree can get a boo boo on one of its branches and the branch dies while the tree is fine. These things are tough. My husband took his chainsaw to some small ones in the front yard to increase visibility, and those little suckers are already coming back.
Hi Draco. Some people call that a waking dream. Instead of truth coming in the form of something you read or experience in a dream, it comes in an event while you are awake.
The only time a branch falls off a tree on its own is when it is dead. No more life to keep it attached to the tree. No sap. No nothing.
And I have a feeling things are going to start falling from our lives, bad habits, both physical and mental, toxic relationships, a love for junk food. It could be anything. But whatever it is in my life, I look forward to it. The tree feels no pain when the dead branch falls away. It might even feel relieved that the dead weight is finally gone.
