Mercury Stationary At Sunrise, Feb. 11, 2015

 8110840695?profile=original

The most disturbing thing with this picture concerns the Star of Akrab ("The Crown Of The Scorpion") directly overhead at the time of sunrise (with Mercury rising over the eastern horizon going stationary over two stars; one star suggesting a good nature (Albiero) and the other star suggesting a violent nature (Sham)). The Star of Akrab rules materialism, wealth, and crimes that are related to materialism and wealth.  Hence there is a probability of a major theft taking place (or a major financial move by an important power), as well as violence and fiendishness taking place in a big way.  Another placement that also suggests this same interpretation is Mars conjunct the Star of Markab, which has a lot to do with violence, theft, and actions involving cutting instruments (such as surgical scalpels or street knives. This star was overhead and conjunct the North Node when Charles Manson's "family" broke into the residence of Sharon Tate and performed the Helter Skelter murders).

From CNN on February 11, 2015:

Europe made little progress Wednesday in averting a new crisis that could force Greece to drop the euro.

Greece's new government, led by left-wing party Syriza, says half a decade of austerity has condemned the country to a downward spiral that is impoverishing its people and making it impossible to repay its enormous debts.

It wants to tear up the existing international bailout program and win six months of bridge financing to give it breathing space to negotiate a longer term solution.

Greek finance minister Yanis Varoufakis met his eurozone peers as a group for the first time in Brussels. He described the talks as "intensive and constructive."

Jeroen Dijsselbloem, the Dutch finance minister who chaired the talks, said progress had been made in understanding Greece's position. But there was no agreement on how to advance the discussions, other than to meet again on Monday, he said.

Greece wants to roll back 30% of the commitments it has made to the European states that have lent it money. It wants to reduce its total debt burden, which at 175% of GDP is the second highest in the world, raise the minimum wage and pensions, and reverse some tax hikes.

The two sides were far apart as the talks began, and little of substance appeared to have changed by the time they ended.

Europe says Greece must honor the terms of the existing rescue loans, before it can talk about ways to ease the burden and boost growth.

The impasse threatens to cut off the lifeline keeping Greek banks afloat later this month, and could ultimately force Greece to abandon the euro. Analysts say the chances of a 'Grexit' are higher than at any point since the second round of the Greek debt crisis in 2012.

Related: How Greece could stumble out of the euro

With other countries such as Ireland, Portugal and Spain having worked through their own painful bailout programs, Europe is in better shape than a few years ago to cope with such a shock. And less inclined to give Greece much ground.

"For a number of eurozone government[s] ...it's important that Syriza should fail and be seen to fail," said Andrew Lilico, executive director of consultancy Europe Economics.

Lilico said endorsement of Syriza's policies was the last thing the Spanish government would want to see because it would hand a huge political victory to a similar opposition party in Spain.

Varoufakis said he hoped agreement could be reached on Monday, but the search for a compromise that is acceptable to Greece and to taxpayers in countries such as Germany and France may take more time.

Europe needed to recognize that Greeks had voted for change, while Greece had to understand that commitments must be respected, said the European Commission's finance chief Pierre Moscovici.

"The [bailout] program is our legal reference, it is on this basis -- inside this framework -- we can work," he said.

Greece's biggest creditor, Germany, reinforced that view.

"We have this program, this program will be brought to an orderly conclusion or we won't have a program," finance minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said bluntly.

Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras repeated Tuesday night that he would not ask for a formal extension of the bailout, which is due to expire on February 28.

Without an extension, the European Central Bank could decide as early as next week to turn off emergency financing for Greek banks.

Greece defies creditors, seeking credit but no bailout

(Reuters) - Talks between Greece and euro zone finance ministers over the country's debt crisis broke down on Monday when Athens rejected a proposal to request a six-month extension of its international bailout package as "unacceptable".

The unexpectedly rapid collapse raised doubts about Greece's future in the single currency area after a new leftist-led government vowed to scrap the 240 billion euro ($272.4 billion) bailout, reverse austerity policies and end cooperation with EU/IMF inspectors.

Dutch Finance Minister Jeroen Dijsselbloem, who chaired the meeting, said Athens had until Friday to request an extension, otherwise the bailout would expire at the end of the month. The Greek state and its banks would then face a looming cash crunch.

How long Greece can keep itself afloat without foreign support is uncertain. The euro fell against the dollar after the talks broke up but with Wall Street closed for a holiday, the full force of any market reaction may only be felt on Tuesday.

The European Central Bank will decide on Wednesday whether to maintain emergency lending to Greek banks that are bleeding deposits at an estimated rate of 2 billion euros ($2.27 billion) a week. The state faces some heavy loan repayments in March.

Seemingly determined not to be browbeaten by a chorus of EU ministers intoning that he needed to swallow Greek pride and come back to ask for the extension, Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis, a left-wing academic economist, voiced confidence that a deal on different terms was within reach within days.

"I have no doubt that, within the next 48 hours Europe, is going to come together and we shall find the phrasing that is necessary so that we can submit it and move on to do the real work that is necessary," Varoufakis told a news conference, warning that the language of ultimatum never worked in Europe.

He cited what he called a "splendid" proposal from the European Commission by which Greece would get four to six months credit in return for a freeze on its anti-austerity policies. He said he had been ready to sign that - but that Dijsselbloem had then presented a different, and "highly problematic", deal.

A draft of what Dijsselbloem proposed, swiftly leaked by furious Greek officials, spoke of Athens extending and abiding by its "current programme" - anathema to a government which, as Varoufakis said, was elected last month to scrap the package.

From San Francisco for February 14, 2015:

Violent Morning: Head And Back Stabbings In North Beach, Knife Attack On Muni Bus

500_francisco.jpg
The 500 block of Francisco Street may seem quiet, but it was the scene of a violent confrontation Wednesday morning.

It's been a stabby week in San Francisco, and it's only Wednesday. In addition to a knife attack over the weekend and a slashing on Tuesday, three more men fell prey to bladed violence this morning: two in a North Beach altercation, and a third while riding a Muni bus.

In the first such incident, two men were arguing at around 2:55 a.m. on the 500 block of Francisco Street, which is between Mason and Taylor Streets. As the conflict intensified, one of the men stabbed the other in the head, San Francisco Police Department spokesperson Sergeant Monica MacDonald says.

A good samaritan tried to break the fight up, but the knife-wielding man stabbed him in the back, MacDonald says.

Both men suffered injuries that do not appear to be life-threatening, MacDonald says. The suspect fled and remains at large. MacDonald did not have any additional suspect information, including a description, at publication time.

Less than a hour later, police were called to the West Portal Muni station, after a man was stabbed while riding a Muni bus, MacDonald says.

Details on this incident are still sort of sketchy, but here's what MacDonald knew as of this morning: at 3:50 a.m., two men were riding the bus when the suspect, described by ABC7 as " Filipino man in his 40s," "said something to the victim and then fled off of the bus."

Another Muni passenger then noted that the victim was bleeding, and the victim realized that he'd been stabbed. He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment of his injury.

Know anything about either case, or about the stabbings from Saturday or Tuesday (those suspects remain at large, too)? Then call San Francisco police at (415) 575-4444 or can send a tip by text message to TIP411 with “SFPD” in the message.

Another disturbing note is that Neptune is conjunct the Star of Sadalachbia (and this star rules "hidden things" and "aviation").  Because Neptune rules deception (and is moving over this star at the time Mercury is going stationary), there is a probability of a major aviation accident or something violent involving aviation.  But because Neptune rules drugs and oil, there also may be an announcement of an important drug treatment or a discovery of an important oil or chemical source (since Sadalachbia rules "hidden things").

Russian Su-24 bomber crashes near Volgograd

Feb 11, 2015

Flights of the Sukhoi Su-24MR jets have been suspended until the causes of the Wednesday morning crash of this type of aircraft that took place outside Volgograd are investigated, the press service of the Russian Defense Ministry reported.

The Su-24 jet crashed seven kilometers from the runway. The fate of its crewmembers is unknown so far. A law enforcement source told TASS that the pilots have presumably ejected.

“On the order of the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces flights of the Su-24 planes are suspended until the causes of the accident are investigated,” the press service said.

The Defense Ministry has earlier established a special commission to investigate the crash causes and a search and rescue team has been dispatched to the accident area. The Su-24 flight was performed without combat ammunition load by experienced pilots who have more than 1,000 logged flight hours each, the ministry said.

The Sukhoi Su-24 twin-engine frontline bomber was developed in the Soviet Union. The modified version, Su-24M, entered service in 1983 and is still in use by some former Soviet states. In 2010, the Russian Air Force decided to replace its Su-24s with modern Su-34s.

Oil down after record U.S. crude stocks; Brent below $55

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Oil prices fell as much as 3 percent on Wednesday after U.S. stockpiles hit record highs, and analysts and traders said the market could shed more of a two-week rebound that was spurred by expectations of lower output.

U.S. crude stocks rose by almost 5 million barrels last week to reach nearly 418 million barrels, the highest since 1982, when records started being kept, government data showed. Analysts polled by Reuters had forecast a build of nearly 4 million barrels. [EIA/S]

The record inventory was a sign the market was still struggling to find a home for some 2 million barrels per day of oil. The glut has prevented prices from forming a bottom to a sell-off that began last summer, analysts said.

"It proves that the price retracement we had on the capital expenditure cuts and falling rig counts may have been premature," said Gene McGillian, senior analyst at Tradition Energy in Stamford, Connecticut.

Energy firms slashed billions of dollars from their oil exploration budgets, and the number of U.S. oil drilling rigs fell to three-year lows after crude prices fell by about 60 percent from their June peaks.

On Wednesday, benchmark Brent oil LCOc1 dropped below the $55-per-barrel support level, settling down $1.77, or 3 percent, at $54.66 a barrel. U.S. crude CLc1 closed down $1.18, or about 2 percent, at $48.84 a barrel.

Fawad Razaqzada, technical analyst in London for FOREX.com, said Brent could fall to $53 a barrel and U.S. crude could go below $47.50 a barrel.

After the rout over the past seven months on worries of a global supply glut, oil prices have risen in five of the last nine sessions, due mostly to what traders say is short-covering.

The gain, of roughly 10 percent, has led some to think the market is on track to a larger rebound. Kuwaiti Oil Minister Ali al-Omair believes crude will hit $60 a barrel by year-end.

The International Energy Agency, however, sees a price well below the $100 level of the last three years.

"If a rally takes hold, it will be sold into," said Tariq Zahir, managing partner at Tyche Capital Advisors in Laurel Hollow, New York.

As proof of the market's near-term weakness, the "contango," or discount, between U.S. crude for prompt delivery and a year ahead CLc1-CLc12 widened on Wednesday to $11 a barrel, its biggest in a week.

The Sun is forming a semi-sextile to Mars (30 degree angle) while moving over the Star of Nashira.  This suggests involvement of government and/or religion in some way, and I suspect the Middle East and Southwest Asia regions (and the violence that is so omnipresent there) may be something a lot of attention will be focused on by the media in some way.

The White House

Office of the Press Secretary

Remarks by the President on Request to Congress for Authorization of Force Against ISIL

Roosevelt Room

February 11, 2015  3:37 P.M. EST

THE PRESIDENT:  Good afternoon.  Today, as part of an international coalition of some 60 nations -- including Arab countries -- our men and women in uniform continue the fight against ISIL in Iraq and in Syria.

More than 2,000 coalition airstrikes have pounded these terrorists.  We’re disrupting their command and control and supply lines, making it harder for them to move.  We’re destroying their fighting positions, their tanks, their vehicles, their barracks, their training camps, and the oil and gas facilities and infrastructure that fund their operations.  We’re taking out their commanders, their fighters, and their leaders.

In Iraq, local forces have largely held the line and in some places have pushed ISIL back.  In Syria, ISIL failed in its major push to take the town of Kobani, losing countless fighters in the process -- fighters who will never again threaten innocent civilians.  And we’ve seen reports of sinking morale among ISIL fighters as they realize the futility of their cause.

Now, make no mistake -- this is a difficult mission, and it will remain difficult for some time.  It’s going to take time to dislodge these terrorists, especially from urban areas.  But our coalition is on the offensive, ISIL is on the defensive, and ISIL is going to lose.  Its barbaric murders of so many people, including American hostages, are a desperate and revolting attempt to strike fear in the hearts of people it can never possibly win over by its ideas or its ideology -- because it offers nothing but misery and death and destruction.  And with vile groups like this, there is only one option:  With our allies and partners, we are going to degrade and ultimately destroy this terrorist group.

And when I announced our strategy against ISIL in September, I said that we are strongest as a nation when the President and Congress work together.  Today, my administration submitted a draft resolution to Congress to authorize the use of force against ISIL.  I want to be very clear about what it does and what it does not do.

This resolution reflects our core objective to destroy ISIL.  It supports the comprehensive strategy that we have been pursuing with our allies and partners:  A systemic and sustained campaign of airstrikes against ISIL in Iraq and Syria.  Support and training for local forces on the ground, including the moderate Syrian opposition.  Preventing ISIL attacks, in the region and beyond, including by foreign terrorist fighters who try to threaten our countries.  Regional and international support for an inclusive Iraqi government that unites the Iraqi people and strengthens Iraqi forces against ISIL.  Humanitarian assistance for the innocent civilians of Iraq and Syria, who are suffering so terribly under ISIL’s reign of horror.

I want to thank Vice President Biden, Secretaries Kerry and Hagel, and General Marty Dempsey for their leadership in advancing our strategy.  Even as we meet this challenge in Iraq and Syria, we all agree that one of our weapons against terrorists like ISIL -- a critical part of our strategy -- is the values we live here at home.  One of the best antidotes to the hateful ideologies that try to recruit and radicalize people to violent extremism is our own example as diverse and tolerant societies that welcome the contributions of all people, including people of all faiths.

The resolution we’ve submitted today does not call for the deployment of U.S. ground combat forces to Iraq or Syria.  It is not the authorization of another ground war, like Afghanistan or Iraq.  The 2,600 American troops in Iraq today largely serve on bases -- and, yes, they face the risks that come with service in any dangerous environment.  But they do not have a combat mission.  They are focused on training Iraqi forces, including Kurdish forces.

As I’ve said before, I’m convinced that the United States should not get dragged back into another prolonged ground war in the Middle East.  That’s not in our national security interest and it’s not necessary for us to defeat ISIL.  Local forces on the ground who know their countries best are best positioned to take the ground fight to ISIL -- and that’s what they’re doing.

At the same time, this resolution strikes the necessary balance by giving us the flexibility we need for unforeseen circumstances.  For example, if we had actionable intelligence about a gathering of ISIL leaders, and our partners didn’t have the capacity to get them, I would be prepared to order our Special Forces to take action, because I will not allow these terrorists to have a safe haven.  So we need flexibility, but we also have to be careful and deliberate.  And there is no heavier decision than asking our men and women in uniform to risk their lives on our behalf.  As Commander in Chief, I will only send our troops into harm’s way when it is absolutely necessary for our national security.

Finally, this resolution repeals the 2002 authorization of force for the invasion of Iraq and limits this new authorization to three years.  I do not believe America’s interests are served by endless war, or by remaining on a perpetual war footing.  As a nation, we need to ask the difficult and necessary questions about when, why and how we use military force.  After all, it is our troops who bear the costs of our decisions, and we owe them a clear strategy and the support they need to get the job done.  So this resolution will give our armed forces and our coalition the continuity we need for the next three years.

It is not a timetable.  It is not announcing that the mission is completed at any given period.  What it is saying is that Congress should revisit the issue at the beginning of the next President’s term.  It’s conceivable that the mission is completed earlier.  It’s conceivable that after deliberation, debate and evaluation, that there are additional tasks to be carried out in this area.  And the people’s representatives, with a new President, should be able to have that discussion.

In closing, I want to say that in crafting this resolution we have consulted with, and listened to, both Republicans and Democrats in Congress.  We have made a sincere effort to address difficult issues that we’ve discussed together.  In the days and weeks ahead, we’ll continue to work closely with leaders and members of Congress on both sides of the aisle.  I believe this resolution can grow even stronger with the thoughtful and dignified debate that this moment demands.  I’m optimistic that it can win strong bipartisan support, and that we can show our troops and the world that Americans are united in this mission.

Today, our men and women in uniform continue the fight against ISIL, and we salute them for their courageous service.  We pray for their safety.  We stand with their families who miss them and who are sacrificing here at home.  But know this:  Our coalition is strong, our cause is just, and our mission will succeed.  And long after the terrorists we face today are destroyed and forgotten, America will continue to stand free and tall and strong.

May God bless our troops, and may God bless the United States of America.  Thank you very much, everybody

Finally, the T-square of the North Node, Pluto, and Uranus continues with the focus of this T-square energy pointing at the Star of Sirius.  This star has a lot to do with ambition and emotional nature.  And note that with a conflicting square forming between Uranus and Pluto, this may be the main reason the general public is emotionally venting their frustration on law enforcement areas of the government, as opposed to the REAL CRIMINALS IN GOVERNMENT, who are the millionaire (s)elected prostitutes that have repeatedly dropped their pants and bent over for Israeli financial donors, bent over for the puppet government in Ukraine, bent over for financial institution donors and their Wall Street agents, and bent over for the NSA and CIA by virtue of these agencies presenting blackmail evidence related to illegal drug activity and recreational activity with child prostitutes (who reportedly look very much like adults).  Hopefully the public will get off of this "I don't want to look like a conspiracy theorist" attitude and focus their anger at the real criminals in elected government, instead of the law enforcement criminals being sensationalized by the mainstream media.

Thanks for reading.

Love to all,

Malcolm
