An owl and a kitten who have become friends at a Japanese coffee shop have sent the internet into meltdown after their adorable japes were posted online.
Five-year-old owl Fuku and kitten Marimo struck up their friendship inside the Hukulou Coffee shop in Osaka, Japan.
Hundreds of photographs, videos and Vines of the pair have been posted on the internet, featuring them playing and preening.

The friendship mirrors the Edward Lear poem where an owl and a pussycat set out to sea in a 'pea-green boat'.
However, in the weeks since Marimo was brought to the coffee shop, interest in the pair has soared.
- Ritsuko Nagahana, the photographer who took the pictures, said: 'It was great to capture their flourishing relationship.
'They're always together so it seemed natural to capture the moment on film.
'It's great to see that they've captured people's imaginations.'
