"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them."
This passage (I feel) is probably one of the MOST if not THE most important passages out of the Bible regarding our true potential/spirituality.
My experience has lead me to believe that when reading or discussing this passage, most people will assume that the passage refers to our physical makeup. This of course led to many an image being created artistically depicting God, Angels and so on as being and looking perfectly Human. I've always held and issue regarding this personification of the Lord, it just doesn't resonate with me on any level. And so I began to really consider this. What do they truly mean regarding that statement?
I began to look at that from as many points of view as I could muster and I came to the conclusion that perhaps maybe, just maybe the original author was refering to our souls and not so much our physical being.
One of the definitions of God that I absolutely love is the following: God always has been, always will be. Can change and mutate but never ceases to exist. Ironically enough, that's a perfect way to express a definition for energy. Einstein proved that energy always has been, always will be, can be changed and mutated but never ceases to exist.
Now, would it not make sense that the passage is actually referring to our souls? When you consider it in this light, all of a sudden it's easy for one to agree that we are indeed made in God's image.

Truly fascinating Goldenmind, thank you for the share.
I was ultimately hoping we could keep this on the spiritual level as I fully had intended on creating topic of discussion regarding the content of this very video.
I more than welcome additional videos or links to information regarding more on our physical beginnings, though I would ask that you PM me those links so that I can take my time digesting them =) I would also like to note that I'm not unfamiliar with these theories, in fact, I have a great amount of insight I hope to share with the community if given the opportunity.
If you wouldn't mind or would like to get an idea of where I come from, please feel free to read my first and as of right now only blog post titled To Whom it May Concern. It was my way of introducing myself and written more like a story than say, clinical dialog or a white paper. It was my intention to grab the reader's attention and hopefully entice them to read more, though I fear it's size has intimidated any who've tried to read it thus far.
Wow, I ramble... :/ Sorry about that.
