Obamacare Amendment Forbids Gun and Ammo Registration
(BREITBART) - GOOD NEWS -- IT HAS BECOME KNOWN THAT HIDDEN DEEP WITHIN THE MASSIVE 2800-PAGE BILL CALLED OBAMACARE THERE IS A SENATE AMENDMENT PROTECTING THE RIGHT TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS.
It seems that in their haste to cram socialized medicine down the throats of the American people, then-Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Barack Obama overlooked Senate amendment 3276, Sec. 2716, part c.
According to reports, that amendment says the government cannot use doctors to collect "any information relating to the lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition."
CNN is calling it "a gift to the nation's powerful gun lobby."
And according to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV), that's exactly right. He says he added the provision in order to keep the NRA from getting involved in the legislative fight over Obamacare, which was so ubiquitous in 2010.

Thanks for sharing this. No wonder they didn't notice its inclusion due to the 2800 pages in the bill!!! Although thinking about it though does not really accomplish too much...it just says that DOCTORS cannot disclose that patients have guns and the status of whether they are registered....but how many doctors even KNOW if their patients have guns or if they are registered? Not something that usually comes up in conversation with one's doctor after all, and certainly not something that is included on one's medical records unless of course someone shoots themselves in the foot for instance, lol. So that still leaves it wide open to take away peoples right to own weapons....makes no difference at all it does not seem to me....so that hidden clause is not all that helpful in the long run. I will have to read the amendment for myself to get the exact wording but on the merit of what is written in this post, the clause does not appear to "forbid guns and ammo registration" at all, just prohibits Dr's for sharing any information that may be on a patients records, which rarely would say "this person is a gun owner". That is a pretty quantum leap....I just don't see the reasoning there at all.
