I'm not saying your description is inaccurate, but I once practiced astrology with the Hare Krishnas, and I had the concept the hexagram star explained to me regarding Shiva (triangle pointing down), Brahma (triangle pointing up), and Vishnu (hexagram in the middle between the two triangles pointing up and down, balancing creation and destruction) from two high ranking Krishna gurus who have worshipped in temples where westerners were not allowed and had this explained to them by devotees of these temples.
The traditional symbol of the Jews has always been the menorah. The six pointed star is an ancient symbol that at its earliest goes back to Hindu philosophy, with the triangle pointed up representing Lord Brahma (lord of creation) and the triangle pointing down representing Lord Shiva (lord of destruction) and the hexagram inside the two triangles representing Lord Vishnu (Lord of Balance of Creation and Destruction).
KING SOLOMON WAS INTRODUCED TO THE HEXAGRAM VIA OCCULTISTS FROM BABYLON AND EGYPT, AND IT BROUGHT HIM BAD LUCK AFTER MUCH FINANCIAL GAIN AND PLEASURE. The Rothschild family uses this symbol as their family seal, and was instrumental in having it placed on the 1947 flag of Israel (ALONG WITH THE TWO BLUE LINES ON THE FLAG OF ISRAEL REPRESENTING THE RIVERS OF THE NILE AND THE EUPHRATES. Now you know what this banking cartel wants: ALL THE LAND (and its oil) BETWEEN THE NILE AND THE EUPHRATES).
The Jews were never instrumental in adopting the hexagram as their symbol, except for a scant few money addicted practitioners of Goetia, or black magic per Kabbalah.
