Ahh, interesting :) Well back on those days, I think 14 was probably more mature because people had babies at a younger age.
That being said, I may be a little guilty too, when I was 19 I had a 14 year old boyfriend, the funny thing is that he was SO mature, and I really fell in love with him. If love is the reason you are connected to someone (within boundaries) then I honestly don't see why it's a problem.
I think when you get below 13 is when it gets creepy but again it's really a highly debatable as to what the situation is. That being said, I can TOTALLY understand how you're feeling too, there are alot of creepy people out there who take advantage of "situations" and there is no excuse for that.
