HEALING & INTEGRATING THE EGO - RECLAIMING YOUR AUTHENTIC SELF
Ego is born of trauma and trauma is born of empathic disconnection. Whenever we have experienced empathic disconnection, we register trauma.
Nearly every human being on this planet has experienced empathic disconnection to greater or lesser degrees, at some time in their life.

Empathic disconnection equates to any situation where we have not felt seen, heard, held, validated or acknowledged.
The symptoms of empathic disconnection are projected out into the world by the traumatised individual, who by adulthood, has empathically disconnected to both Self, others, and the world around them.

Early infancy and childhood trauma are the Call to the ego to rise to power, dominance and control. The ego is driven by survival instincts and fear, and its strategies are defence and attack.
Ego originated as the saviour of the True Self, however, over time, it deludes itself believing that it is the True Self, and acts accordingly, whilst the True Self remains hidden, in exile.

With the ego in the driving seat of our lives, we will continue to engage in dysfunctional and destructive patterns of behaviour, pointing clearly to a psychological split between the ego and the True Self.
Given that nearly seven billion human beings are carrying the wounds of unhealed trauma caused by ‘empathic disconnection,’ is it any wonder that the world is as it is today?

The first step toward the healing and integration of the ego, and for Self-Actualisation, is to empathically connect with the ego and acknowledge the crucial role it has served in our lives to enable the Truth of Who We Are was able to survive.
The ego deserves our respect, our love and our appreciation, no matter how much suffering it may have caused to the Self, in its attempts to protect and ensure survival of the Self. However, it is now time to retire the ego.

Understanding and integrating the ego is a necessary, essential and critical turning point on the path to full conscious awakening.
