Heathrow Airport London Police ...carrying Guns were rude and threatening to me when I was peacefully logged on to ACC site

I now and then go to Heathrow Airport just to visit and have tea and snacks as there are some stores open 24/7. I like to go sometimes late night and sit in a cafe and log on to ACC site and during the day check out and see what is new at all the Terminals. I made some friends there and in the afternoon was sitting in Terminal 5 minding my own business and logged on to ACC site when 4-5 Police Officers carrying guns approached me and started questioning me and upsetting my peace. Had l done something wrong I do not mind but just sitting there peacefully they started on me for no apparent reason . I told them that I am British Subject and have been in this country since 1972..I told them I am peaceful and do not smoke/ drink and a vegetarian. One officer started being very rude and threatening to me and told me to take my woollie cap off and I told him that I am a Singh and like to keep it on to cover my long hair but he insisted that I take it off so I finally did and I was wearing a headband with a Lemurian Crystal covering my third eye but he upset me by being rude and threatening to me. I am very upset as people have a right to sit in peace but he deliberately was puffed up and talked nasty with me.Some of these Police Officers and some Security Officers threaten people for no reason but to show off and boss people around thinking they are higher then you and trying to make you feel cheap and small. There are a lot of these holding positions which is not really suitable for them as they upset innocent people for no apparent reason at all.It is not the first time as once I was mugged and beaten up by two off duty Police Officers who beatle with truncheons till my head and nose was bleeding and I ended up having stiches.One person near by was watching and he was a doctor and told me that they deliberately were rude to you and are raciest. He talked to me and calmed me down as my blood pressure was at boiling point.Now the point is we need a better class of Police Officers and Security Officers who treat people with respect and don't abuse innocent people. This needs to change as these people are abusive and threatening for no reason. There have been so many incidents when innocent people have been mistreated by them. Singhs are known to be peaceful but if someone upsets them for no reason then they are not peaceful at all. I will be going there with my friends to sort them out.Well ACC tell us if any Police or Security Officers have been rude, abusive and nasty to you?Quiet a few incidents happen at the check out points where they treat you like dirt ordering you to take your jackets off and all items from your pockets and even your pendants and rings. At times innocent people have been mistreated by them and some of them are just abusive and in the wrong position.We need leaders, governments, police and security officers for the people not against the people...in other words do not pick on the innocent.The law needs to change as they at time pick on the innocent and let the real criminals get away with it. There is so much wrong happening in the World but they tend to ignore the major issues but concentrate on minor issues and at times on innocent people.

I wouldn't take it so personally, alot of cops are like that....especially city cops. They go on power trips, and it's best not to provoke them...try to be as cooperative as you can. Trust me, I've dealt with enough cops in my life...and I learned, being hostile or uncooperative with them, only makes the situation worse. You have to be polite with them, but at the same time, firm. Show them you're your own person, but a nice person. If they think you're weak, or nervous... they won't respect you, they'll probably end up walking all over you. Try to be cool and calm....and show them, you're the one in control, not them.

There'd be times when I'd be in the park, jogging at night, and a cop would pull in. And I'd immediately establish who was in control. I'd walk up to them....I'd lead the conversation...it's hard to explain really, but you have to take the control of the situation, out of their hands.

Usually when a cop pulls you over, or stops you on the street, people go, oh oh, and act like a subordinate...like they're the ones with the power, and you have to do what they say. Flip it around...take charge of the situation....show them you're not subordinate. They'll respect you more for that, and it'll reduce your chances of them thinking they can go on power trips with you. Do it politely of course lol Don't be rude....be nice, but be confident. Remember, bullies only go after people they think are weaker than them....show them you're not weak, and they'll think twice.

And not all cops really, some cops are bad apples, but alot of them are just doing their job. They probably saw you, a foreign looking guy, loitering around the terminal..without any bags, or anybody with you, and they got suspicious. They're trained to look for that. Heathrow sounds pretty bad though, the times I was at Benito Juarez, in Mexico City, one of the more dangerous airports in the world....they didn't even treat me that bad.

I guess the only advice I could give, is....stay cool...don't get upset....don't be hostile or resist...but at the same time, show them you're the one in control. Try to be friendly with them too, treat them like your equal....go, yea guys, bye guys...things like that. It should reduce your chances of getting walked on.

Heathrow Airport has had a lot of incidents and complains even by some big celebrities that have pointed out being mistreated by the Security Staff.
A lot of Police and Security staff I have noticed treat people like dirt.
When I came first to London I got a job as a security officer and then become a senior security officer but I did not stay for long as the people and places I was looking after were into corruption .. I worked in 5 big banks but sensed the energy and vibes were greed and control and soon left the job.

I'm sure it's a mix of goodhearted people and people who want to abuse authority, Kelly but then again, it's like that everywhere.

I agree about the protests, Krisha. Awareness should be spread and the sleeping public should know what corruption and power have done to people.

What we need is a big protest throughout the World on Police brutality, aggressive nature, picking on the innocent and putting fear in people.
Also Security Staff are at times installing fear on people ... I sometimes go to Wholefoods and their security is one of the worse as they wearing uniforms circle around the store and while you are eating you are put off by their presence and they bug you with their wakkie talkies and make you feel uncomfortable.
Now they have security in Govindas Restaurant in London .. A devotees dressed in security uniform watching over you while you eat your meal .. Quiet off putting your supposed to be karma free meal

  Very nice comment John Jancar and very good advice.. It was just that they sort of charged on me and upset me and started questioning me .. I become annoyed and was not very polite to them as they were not very polite to me either.
  They demanded an ID and I showed them my bank card and they did a security check via phone and found I had one charge a long time ago and it was just a minor driving offence. But the way they demanded that I take my woolie cap off was not very nice and polite and they also said if you are a visitor we can have you out of here if we wish ...all this for no apparent reason... I was left annoyed and upset as before I was just sitting there peacefully.

I feel sorry for what happened to you.

I fully agree with your statement that we need leaders FOR the people. I am also convinced that we - the people- can realize this if only by projecting the wish/thought for change, and by working of course on our hidden shadow sides. When watching the news, I must admist that we are starting to move in the right direction in regards to world leadership (eg new pope, new Chinese leader, Swiss vote to limit business leader income (following EU cap on bankers bonus), change in the Netherlands royal house, current US president...). And once there is enough change, an avalange of change will start.

So, I keep "thumbs up", watching the bad things but looking for every small and large sign of change.

Yes the Police need re-educating ..more on being nice to people and not causing unnecessary harresment... Here in London they are becoming more like New York police who are known to shoot first and ask questions later..if you are still alive that is.
I do not like to be pushed around or bossed around by anybody unnecessarily as I am born on this Planet and it is my home Planet Now and i am Born Free but the unnecessary restrictions, laws, greed, power and control is there to trap you .. to enslave you .. that is why Planet Earth is classed as a death Planet where most people die due to pressure put on them by THE SYSTEM. .. and this System needs changing to make this Planet a better place for all to live in and grow/advance spiritually
