With the pressures of city life more and more people are choosing to move off to the countryside or even off the grid altogether.

While the simple life has a great deal to recommend it, it also comes with its share of problems such as a lack of electricity and hot water. Thankfully, for the latter issue, an ingenious engineer has shared a very simple solutionm on YouTube.

Using only a rocket stove, copper wiring and some other easily salvageable parts a YouTube user with the handle engineer775 Practical Preppers has created a blow by blow instruction video for how to create an endless supply of hot water in one’s own background. A rocket stove, despite its science fiction inspired name, is actually a very simple piece of kit.

How to create continuous hot water without electricity

It is a hot burning stove that uses nothing more complicated than small diameter wood fuel. These stoves ensure complete combustion of the fuel prior to the flames reaching the cooking surface which makes them very efficient for cooking with off grid. They are also capable of reaching very high temperatures without potential danger which makes them incredibly useful when it comes to generating heat and therefore hot water.

In the video, the engineer describes how one of these incredibly useful rocket stoves in conjunction with copper wiring and a thermal siphon in order to create a continuous supply of hot water. In the video, the man uses a water supply from the reservoir, but it is also possible to collect rainwater to use for this purpose. This means that this method can be extremely cheap for those on a budget.

Anyone seeking to live off-grid or just pick up some handy tips about how to survive without relying on the utility companies should watch the full video below to pick up some ingenious but surprisingly simple tips about surviving harsh conditions in relative luxury.

"this is what the AI says about drilling in the north sea-is this correct Drexk;
🛢️ 1. The UK already drilled heavily

The UK began large-scale North Sea drilling in the 1970s

Fields like Brent Oilfield were major producers

At its peak (late…"
