How do you want first contact to be like?

Unfortunately for me I had my FIRST CONTACT when I was about 9ish up close and way too personal and it was ongoing contact (against my will) until quite recently, being an abduction victim. So first contact for me was not a good experience, and has influenced my thoughts on contacts with other lifeforms from outside of earth greatly. I try very hard not to let a bad apple experience taint the whole bag of apples for me, but it has been an uphill struggle for me I have to say. I do look at it that things in life are not black or white, so I am assuming that there are other lifeforms that would not be as traumatic to deal with and come in contact with, so I guess I am eager to meet some that do not want to use me for experimentation and fill me with thoughts not my own, and do not want to exert power over my free will. I would joyously meet in person any BENEVOLENT beings that would still respect our FREE WILL. I do not personally have the tendancy to believe in devine intervention by aliens, but I do not discount that there are benevolent loving lifeforms out there, nor am I so naive as to think that humans are alone in the universe(s). There HAS to be more intelligent and peacefull species than ours, as I view humans as wonderful but still very primitive in the way that we treat one another and our planet.

So I would immediately like to have first contact with benevolent and lovings species. I think it would be a wake up call for all of us. I also however feel that man's tendancy to want to kill or dissect anything that is not understood is not a GOOD thing, so I personally am not sure if we as a species are ready for First Contact. Just my opinion.

1. Loud, happy, blatantly celebratory and completely public with no doubts.
2. Now, or even yesterday.
