So I remember getting in to a heated debate elsewhere on this topic and I decided it was worth further invesitgation, because we never came to a conclusion or solution for the issue at hand. Why? Because both opposing sides had equally valid conflicting points.
So first of all before we get in to this, I'll put us in a hypothetical situation. The year is 2013 and let's say for one reason or another let's say ascension didn't happen. (I want to try and reach a solution or answer to this by using our current level of consciousness.) However what did happen was a few walls come down here and there. Now we have no ruling bodies or government, no corporations to tax us etc etc. We're village people now. No, not the band .. not that kind of village people. Y'know, the ones that wear that wear the weird hats and talk funny. Uh.. wait.. nevermind.
Just think caveman only 10 times smarter and less hairy. Ok .. with me so far? No? Sucks to be you. Go read the first two paragraphs again. Alright, back to the point. Now we're all equals again but we don't want to repeat the same society where we spend our whole lives fruitlessly trying to get ahead of big gov and big corp. We want freedom. But how do we do it? This is where you come in sunshine.
How do we make a set of rules that gurantee the sovereignty of each individual being without them actually being rules? How do we respect each individual's beleifs and their own uniqueness without our rules conflicting with their beleifs should they believe to be free = no rules? Do we even need rules? Does this require a totally different approach? How do we found our new society around these principals?
If we teach said principals to our kids, that would be considered brainwashing, as they'd grow up biased to how our society wanted them to be. This is where it gets complicated. We need to think outside of the box here. You can teach a child to love and respect people, but if it grows up that way it's not really freedom because you never taught it that there were alternative choices on how it could behave or act. (It's forcing your beleifs and principals on them rather than giving them options and allowing them to choose who they want to be.)
Sure you don't want kids growing up to be little vicious brats but we need to really think this through and constantly question ourselves, if whilst we may have the best intentions, are they more akin to a benelovent dictatorship or are the ideas we have actually allowing instead of restricting?
Discuss.
Please be respectful in this debate, we may have incredibly different views and opinions but it's not reason to verbally lash out at people.

...and we are free, yes, on a mental or on a consciousness\energy level, but not on a physical level... at least most of humanity...
..on a physical level we are as free as our purchasing power allows us to be...
(now if we are so strong on a conscious/energy level that we can bent physicality on our will...well, this is another story)..
..for example if i want to travel around the world right now , and for the rest 2 or 5 years, (and if i cannot astral travel), i have physical restrictions which make it difficult for me to accomplish it...
... also i dont see that "No one being ultimately has any more power than any other".. this is true only in an ideal world... and not in the one we are now living, or else we would not see the injustices that are happening now on our world... even on an energetic level, there are beings more powerful than others... i dont mean more important, or on equality level as beings, but on who has more power... a child dont have the power of an adult... and this makes him/her vulnerable...
..the question is what we have created so far with our free will (as humanity), and what we are able to create from now on... and i totally agree that, "we are scared of our own freedom and of responsibility and power."... this is so very true...
... its is not perfect for sure also... it will have its problems.. but thats why we need work always to make things better...at least from what i have seen so far, this system is 100 times better, than what we currently have... and the good is that it can be advance in time... not like our current system which has been static for 100's of years...
now, this society is for total individuality, and freedom...
... but not for opinions on how we should run things... opinions are these which have brought us to this mess that we are now...
... i dont understand why u say that for freedom we need to sacrifice emotions.. this has nothing to do with this.. can u give an example of what u mean???
..different taste on things..yes..its most welcome.. but not opinions on who gets what, and how...
... for example, i might have an opinion that i want my house to be a
Taj Mahal made out of gold and titanium, placed on top of a hill, in the middle of a lake.... well, if the Earth's resources show that it is not possible to do this, cause we lack the gold and titanium required, then it will not be done... the Earth's resources along with the practicality and efficiency will decide this...
...in an RBE, Nature's resources are the ones that decide what we can do, and we do it based on the "scientific method"
... and not on what i, u, or anybody else's opinion is...
..do u have something that will benefit humanity as a whole (and thus yourself too)???...then u will be free to share it in an open source system, where everybody can have access... and depending on its efficiency and sustainability, it would be implemented...
( but not to propose that we need to make planes with vertical wings instead of horizontal, when u have no clue about aviation mechanics, just because u like the design of the vertical wing position, and because in your "opinion" this will work well)... if u do have a clue about aviation and u propose the vertical type of wings, then yes... it will be tested, and if its proven more efficient that what we have had so far.. it would be implemented...
..for a system to work, must be based on equality for all... from the moment that u see some groups of people to benefit more that other groups of people, then we have instability, which will lead in conflict in time...
..we have an equal base for start, for all... and from there, we advance on efficient and sustainable ideas, which will benefit all, and not just a selected few... based on the scientific method.. and not on anyone's opinion....
..this is not an Utopia... Utopia means something static,,, a society must be constantly evolving... it cannot be static... new ideas are born everyday... it needs to keep changing,,,, this is the ideal type of society...
...i like this type of conversations, because i really try hard to find something solid that will debunk the VP, but i havent found anything so far...
...still after your reply, i just see the usuall 1st reaction of a person who has not understand the RBE (Resource Based Economy) concept...
..i will get back with my reply soon, cause im little busy now... :)
@Keith... ok, can u give me some examples of what makes u happy, but u cannot have them in an RBE???
...i know for one that access to clean water, air, food, a house, energy, and fast and safe transportation would make me happy, just as it would make everyone i believe... is there someone who dont like these things??...
.. please provide me with examples so that i can understand what u mean by different emotions or opinions... etc...
... even this is my opinion, it dont mean that everyone will adopt it from the next day... if needs to be tested of course first...
... what are your proposals for a better way to manage things???
..im open to everything...
