I'm quite proud of this and can't believe I never thought of it before. Basically I have trouble sitting down and writing my thoughts out, although the thoughts themselves will flow out on their own in perfect written order while I pace around wildly. And thus when I go to sit down to write them out..... I don't know what to write. The inspiration or the method or whatever has already come and gone, and I no longer remember how to say it as pefectly. Only a very vague idea of what I wanted to say remains.
This is a problem that has been plaguing me ever since I got attacked and implanted with a couple cips back in 2008, when I could write stories at a rate of about 2,500 words a day. Literally overnight I stopped being able to do that. That, by the way, is the whole reason I became all esoteric and a "crazy paranormal conspiracy theorist" in the first place. Although my family just thinks I'm generally crazy.
Anyways it dawned on me that before I sit down to write anything I'm already planning what it is I want to write. I would have to split my writing up into a planning phase and writing phase before I got attacked and I guess that got taken advantage of by the evil powers that be. But if I sit down and free write I can go forever and ever and ever. The same goes if I start talking, I had an idea at one point that I should just to audio blogs instead of writing them. Then I realized my first recording was 2.5 hours long of solid talking that magically stayed on topic the whole time.
So the idea is simple, now that all of that backstory is out of the way. I delegate a time when I sit down to write without thinking of what I want to write. Just sit down, boot stuff up first, then decide. I could even go as far as setting open office to run at startup so there'll be no mistake. But I think that will work against me because I'm not making it and writing a conscious decision at that point.
I mean take thi discussion for example, I told myself that I wanted to write it BUT I did not plan any of it. I just said "I have a discussion I want to write, its going to be called I Haz Mental Trick :3, go." and then I just went. And this is the result. Its freewriting but with a topic! And frankly if I can apply this to my cretive writing I could definitely get back to being a 2,500 word a day guy. That is a LOT by the way. I don't know how long I've been typing this for but its probably only 5 minutes or so. in any case that is the trick and it may work for others too.
Sit down, get ready then think. After that, let it flow.
Hope this also helps someone other than me. I have little doubt that there are others who have similar blocks.

lol...ADD? I have this as well...it can really work in your favor if you direct it towards things you love to do best. : )
We can be hyperfocused but daydream and be easily distracted as well. But, we are the ultimate multi-taskers.
(not diagnosing you of course...just feel I can connect with your frustration with concentration)
So....you were attacked? and implanted with a chip?
: ) imready : )
