Does anyone know?I used to have a friend who was very christian, and she would talk about how gay was a sin.. so, one time I asked her what she thought of hermaphrodites, and she did not believe me that it was even really a condition at all!I think they would label these people as blasphemous.. and probably burn them..

    • I agree we should be accepting, doesnt mean we have to share their practices. There are of course exceptions, those being things which act to destroy Life and its precepts. In the OT and NT there are commands or moral edicts that naturally lead to the reasoning of tolerance. For prime example Love thy neighbor as thyself.
    • Is this your contribution to my discussion?
    • Hey bud

I am very familiar with the Sikh community.

      Good people.

      What of Sinful acts?

      Killing and sex and such?

      Sex for pleasure, or Sodomy?
    • Well, hello there Peter!

      Are you christian as well?
    • Very true.. they are very much into belief as the foundation for reason..

but.. I have always wondered how it is that priests are used to effectively exorcise demons n stuff.
  • I think that christianity produces some fantastic people, but it also breeds separation..

The lessons are good, but, I think the message was warped in order to give the church more control over the people.

How many people hide behind the word of god? I swear to god.. people use it as word magic..

Its like they are under oath, and above reason..
    • im a christian but I find there are two types, regardless of denomination which is crap. There are those who seek the truth in the word and through the word, then there are those who just listen to the word and that is all. This is the difference between the written word in ink and the living word written in spirit. Basically they read or hear what is written but dont take the time to truly understand what it means. When one actually uses reason when reading the word and trying to understand then they can find that those so called contridictions really arent so, but are instead conditions of one time period spoken of which at a later time period has evolved or could evolve.
For example: "All have sinned and are not worthy of the Glory of God" hmm that was then before Christ. Well what about those people who were born after that time period could some of them be free of sin??
  • It is important to note that as we have this conversation, that we aknowledge our proclivities to want to pass judgments on those christians who have not yet reached a level of comprehension for the metaphysical. Thus curving any malintent in our observations. It is best to be compassionate towards their misled understandings of sexuality and all that it encompasses. With that being said, yes it seems that they run for the hills when such a topic is brought to their consideration. I suppose that since so many christians would never venture outside of their inculcated dogma it is therefore hard for them to get a grasp of why it is they believe what they believe. The conditioning of perspectives towards so called "sin" doesn't allow for the thought of LoGiC to be exercised; therefore reinforcing as 'sin' that which they care not to understand. The unfortunate thing is that those perceptions are as they are and are always reinforced through the Fear of going to hell and what not. So it is a meme that needs no advertisement for since childhood they've been plaqued with the imagery of hell and what that intels. So yes, hermaphrodites would probably be looked upon as an abomination or curse or something in those lines..And what fails to be understood is that gender expression is only a 3rd density manifestation. Especially the physical aspect of it. In the higher realms everyone will me more androgenous than we now perceive. Perhaps there's something to be said about what Dr. Kinsey's work exposed....that at some deeper level of our 3d experience, the dichotomy of male, female are within us all. And we all know that this is true when it refers to masculine and feminine energies of creation. The question is..is it true regarding sexuality? after all, we are all spiritual beings having a human experience, regardless of your genitalia...
    • Hmmmm,

      Break down the word Metaphysical

      Meta is matter

      Physical is matter

I wouldnt put too much stock into the idea of 5D, because as you know, people are quick to believe in anything fantastic.

My thought is just that religion and the Bible cannot evolve with our changing biology.. and for this reason.. I think it is evidently obsolete.
      • oh but the bible can evolve but because of certain dogma characteristics and authority issues it is not allowed to evolve in a publically available media. Therefor its evolution rests with those who are willing to learn and understand what is within it and compound on that the understandings which result from the application of what is understood to the creation around us. Of course it will likely be a collection of histories from the time period of John to the present which played the major roles of shaping our world society and any periods which further our enlightenment. Add to this any events which lead to a major shift of the state of our world and you would have the new and revised bible. No doubt there have been writings of this nature that the supposedly accepted faith authorities have refused to add to the bible, either out of fear or because we wouldnt be able to carry a copy of new and revised bible around because it would take up a shelf or two book space, or even that they dont want it written because it leaves human kind with the responsibility to discover for themselves the things that would be written if anything were to be written.
