Last night I had the most extremely scary and bizarre dream I have ever experience in all my years here. It was completely lucid and I knew exactly what I was doing and I could feel everything.

Before I explain my dream, I will start with a bit of back ground about me which might help you understand.

Since I was a young boy, I have had a lot of strange dreams where I wake up in sleep paralysis, I have no idea what causes it. Sometimes the sleep paralysis can be really intense and very loud but nothing like what I experienced last night. Also, I started skydiving last year and went through a training programme and have done many solo skydives. I recommend it to anyone who wants to have a bit more excitement in there lives!!

In this dream I had, it was a beautiful day the sun was out and it was really bright, there were a few large puffy white clouds. I was on top of a huge cliff surrounded by mountains nothing out of the ordinary but I had my parachute rig on my back and was strapped in. I was with a girl who I don’t recognise at all and she had her parachute rig on as well, we were the only ones on this cliff, and we walked over to the edge, I could see right to the bottom then I started to get a butterfly sensation in my stomach because I knew we were going to jump off, it looked as if we were about 2500FT high, but I’m not sure.  Then the girl walked in front of me and stood right on the edge of the cliff with her toes just over the edge, there was no breeze, it was a very still day, I felt my heart rate shoot up as she started to count down and then she jumped off and I followed suit. It felt so real, I could feel the air rushing against my body and the sounds of the air whipping past my ears it was very intense, It was a huge rush, we were both tracking close to the cliff face and she was maybe 10 meters below me and seemed a lot closer to the cliff face than I was. So far it was amazing, but then she smashed into a ledge sticking out of the cliff at maybe 200Km/h and I saw her just explode and bits of her flew out off the ledge and I just missed the ledge and her body parts by what seemed like inches.

Fear suddenly rushed through my body and I was really freaking out and the ground was rushing towards me fast, so I reached out to pull my pilot chute out to start to deploy my main canopy and as I pulled my pilot chute out and went to throw it clear of myself it wrapped around my arm and because of the wind resistance I couldn’t untangle it. At that point the ground was really huge and coming in fast, I finally got the pilot chute untangled from my arm and then I looked down and BANG!! I hit the ground.
I didn’t wake up from my dream at all, but was no longer in my body, I was next to it floating and watching as onlookers rushed to my lifeless body splattered over the ground. And then I started to realise it was a dream and started to calm down and suddenly I was completely conscious and was aware I was in my bed, but I was not able to open my eyes or move any part of my body and then realised I was having sleep paralysis again. I could see my entire room, it was grainy and dark but I could see everything in my room which was really odd and then there was this intense sound pulsating around my ears it was seriously loud and my whole body was vibrating and all I could feel was pure fear I was freaking out I couldn’t move at all I was completely conscious and I could do nothing! And then I felt like something was sucking energy out of me or feeding on my fearful energy and then I noticed this shadowy figure in my room, and it came very close to my face and just steered at me and the sound and the vibration got even more intense and I really started freaking out and was trying desperately to force myself out of the paralysed state I was trapped in, but nothing would work and whatever it was just continued to steer at me. And then I finally broke out of the grip it had on me and I managed to open my eyes just a little bit but it felt like my eyelids weighed a tone each and as soon as I was able to open my eyes a little bit, the sound that was rushing around my ears and the vibration around my body subsided, but my eye lids where to heavy and closed and the sound and vibration came back and the figure was there steering at me. And it took what felt like a lot of energy to get my eyes open and keep them open and finally the sound and vibration were gone and the shadowy being was nowhere to be seen and I then started to get control of my body again. And eventually enough energy to get out of bed and look at the time, it was around 4am and pitch black.

I really don’t know what to make of this, it really freaked me out.

  • Dreams,

a quantum state of consciousness where we go to make sense of our 3 dimensional waking state.

When we hit the fear inspired boundaries of our consciousness, and are unable to take the steps we need to push through them,

our higher self takes matters into its own hands.

And creates a multi dimensional experience that gives us no choice but to live that fear.

Because ultimately, the only way to overcome fear is to live it.

And survive it. And come to the understanding that it is only fear telling you that you are going to die if you take a course of action.

Once you've survived a fearful event, and understood the meaning of it, the fear can no longer exist.

Because you have proven the fear to be a lie.

Surviving the fear in the dream state may very well facilitate a set of circumstances that allows you to experience that fear in the waking state.

So that the 3 dimensional mind can prove the fear is a lie once and for all.

Welcome and embrace your experiences of fear.

Because it is in the overcoming of your fears that you will be set free from the illusion.

  • Please read my very long comment on the first page of this thread. It's full of information. Saying, "but this is a site for the dreamers" insinuates that I'm not a dreamer. Think again. This stuff in this thread... this is my forte.

Yep, science can't remove the terror of the imagination. Agreed.

    • I used to have your approach, sorta. I took my dreams way more seriously than I should have. If it wasn't for me eventually learning better... I'd still be thinking there was a young man that hangs out next to me on the bed or wherever I fall asleep... who likes to cuddle and tease (even though my bf is right next to me in reality, but this man was definitely not him) and I might even be dead because of it. And if I believed that, then there was a bunch of other stuff happening in this home that would've been true too. Including some not so fun stuff. It took me awhile but when I did eventually sit down and think about why I was dreaming these things... I discovered there's a psychological reason for everything. And not necessarily textbook psychology, but self psychology (which may be a tad more biased but only the individual can truly come to an understanding of what their dreams mean). But that doesn't mean they're always right at first either... sometimes it's complicated. And sometimes people don't have enough experience under their belt to come to the right, or even productive, conclusion.

I can't tell you how many tests I do in my dreams on a regular basis. And how many I've done. Specially during the peak of my "mental craziness" when it came to giving my dreams more power than they deserved.

If there were bad/negative beings in dreams causing harm to people, I'd be one of the first people to figure out how people can protect themselves from stuff like this and tell people about it (and yes, I'm aware of what's out there as far as 'protection' so far, and I found out by experience that it's all fluff), because of my advanced dreaming abilities. Actually, to be quite honest, I wouldn't have "volunteered" to be alive right now. I'd be in the dead people realm fighting these things off. But I have a feeling that if something happened to me where I decided, "I MUST DIE TO HELP PROTECT MY FRIENDS AND FAMILY FROM THESE EVIL DREAM BEINGS!"... I'm going to be incredibly embarrassed afterwards because there's nothing to protect against. It's all their own imaginations.

So either these bad/negative beings are afraid of me, or they don't exist. And let me tell you, I'm no saint... so I don't know why they'd be afraid of me. Unless they don't want to get an earful lol. Maybe that's it. HAHA! But IF that was the case... they'd be more human than anything.

So if people are afraid of these confrontations in their dreams... maybe they need to experience them to be better able to handle confrontations in real life.

  • Yeah, I agree. Hahahaha Could also be a past life revisit. If you just began skydiving maybe that is what triggered the memory. And also why you like it so much!!

    • Skydiving hasn't been around THAT long. I'm sure he'd notice if his clothes looked outdated in the dream. It would hopefully be one of those things that stands out. Specially if he doesn't wear those clothes in this lifetime.

  • Feather Winger is right, negative entities can enter your sleep time and control your dreams. I notice these things when I also have gruesome dreams or dreams I know didn't come from me. I do a sage cleansing and they go away. They feed off of your fears. Fear is a powerful emotion and I can imagine with your heart racing and been stuck in bed the amount of energy you were emitting. This attracts others to you. Same as positive emotions can attract spiritual beings to you as well. Especially if you have gifts like you say since a boy. I often have to fight them off and decern good from bad. Just recognize it for what it is and don't let it take away your power. It's in your space.

    • No, FW is actually wrong about that. And so is everyone else who believes that.

So you mean to tell me, that when your own mind goes into a fearful state, that someone else is the problem and not you? Take responsibility for yourself. Stop giving your power away over to some imaginary entities. I can understand children still believing in the boogeyman... but adults? C'mon adults, time to grow up. <3

  • The part where you speak about sleep paralysis... you were still asleep. I have much experience with this. At first I used to think I was awake during that time which is why I could see the room and hear everything as if I was awake... it took several years/decades of dreaming experience for me to realize that I was in fact, still asleep. So don't freak out too much about that. That shadow figure and the vibrating sound, that was all a part of the dream. And it's nothing to worry about.

Our brains are fascinating things. It's like, dreams are some awesome virtual reality without the need of wearing a virtual reality suit and mask. It's amazing what our brains can create sometimes. And sometimes it can be scary, but it really is nothing to be concerned about. I would bet my life that another being was not sucking your energy (yes, I did just say my life, and I'm completely serious. My words were chosen carefully to be able to express to you how serious I am). Either your mind/imagination created that shadow figure, or your mood did which still technically means your mind did, it was just influenced by your mood.

It makes perfect sense that you felt fear. You did that to yourself. Not something else. I mean c'mon, you were jumping from a cliff, so right off the bat it starts off with some amount of fear. Then you see someone gruesomely die and that's scary and maybe even traumatizing. And then you died. So the fear you felt that still lingered when you woke up from that dream, and into another dream on your bed that was capable of convincing you that you were no longer dream... it's no surprise that you experienced what you did during that "between dream" time.

I don't know what else to call it besides that: "inbetween dream realm". Some of the most bizarre shit happens to me during that time. And to be clear... that "between dream" space... it always takes place where I am sleeping. Sometimes I'm alone. Sometimes I'm not. It used to be that I was paralyzed during that time when I was younger. And I used to get really scared. Then it started happening where as I was falling asleep, I could tell when it was going to happen (it started off for me that it would happen before I dream, like almost instantly after falling asleep) because I could feel and hear the vibrating. I used to be terrified of this growing up. My main concern while lying in bed would be, "scream... kick my legs! anything!" Hoping that I could scream loud enough for family to hear me and wake me up. It ended up that I could only whimper or grunt because I wouldn't move my mouth. And even then, this whimper didn't express itself in the real world. I found this out after moving in with my partner when the same thing would happen with him next to me, or even when he was still awake and I was not. It happened many times where this happened... and when I would finally manage to wake up, I'd be like, "you didn't hear me?!?!?!" even when it was dead quiet and he was reading or something. Later, I realized that's because it was all a part of the dream realm. Even though for the longest while I thought otherwise. Oh, eventually I was able to make myself scream and move my mouth and then I'd wake up shortly after, but again, the screaming was only in the dream world, not reality.

Then something changed. I went through a moment in my life where I decided... "why am I so scared of this? what's the worst that would happen? I die." And I decided I didn't care. So BRING IT ON! So I started looking at this vibrating sound/sensation with curiosity instead of fear. Sometimes I would let it soothe me. That's when the heavy vibrating stopped. And I could sit in that moment peacefully. That's when I started seeing another human there during that time. I guess with all that fear out of the way, my mind had the power and energy and focus to create a person during that time. Much more interesting if you ask me.

I have since been able to develop the ability to move but not always 100%. Sometimes I can get up and do anything, check the house out. Other times I can only see. Sometimes I have an intense desire to look behind me and see who's there (sometimes someone is talking to me or tickling me) but all I can do is move my hands and "see them" with my hands (kinda like how a blind person might feel people's faces with their hands).

I have come to find through my experiences, that not everything always makes sense during that moment, or for dreams in general. Sometimes I have control over my dreams and even the layout or location (I've constructed a handful or more dreams during my life already). Sometimes I don't. I don't really have nightmares. But I one day where after I came home from a lecture where a lady in the audience shared a scary dream she had involving something in her room (the lecture took place at the Edgar Cayce Center hence the story she was sharing)... that night I fell asleep and I woke up in "dream land" on my bed to find myself looking up at my curtains and have this thing there, a few feet away from my face, looking at me, maybe the size of a pet rabbit. It was hooded and it scowled at me... or more like hissed maybe. It immediately woke me up. Now what I don't understand, is that when the lady was sharing her story, I was more involved with something else at the moment so I wasn't really paying that much attention to her speaking. But apparently my mind did. -- I have since decided that whatever that thing was, it was probably just scared or misguided. Like a cornered raccoon or something. Like it was just crawling down my curtains in it's little grim reaper outfit, "doot di doot di doo" and then here I pop into the dream dimension and I probably startled the poor thing. Although my rational mind knows it's not really real. And I haven't seen it since. Also, it possibly hissed at me because my ears picked up one of my cats hissing at another cat in the room or hallway. My brain picks up stuff happening in reality that bleeds into my dreams sometimes. It was really interesting when I used to fall asleep with the radio on because I'd be in the dream talking to people and I could clearly hear the radio playing but they didn't seem to acknowledge it and sometimes the music just doesn't fit at all into the dream.

I'd could be here all day talking about my experiences so I'll stop there.

But there is nothing to worry about. As real and vivid as it seems, just give yourself a pat on the back for having that part of your brain active. Not everyone does. If you have anymore questions or concerns, feel free to add me.

Also, be very, very careful. Some people will tell you that your dreams are 100% real. Some people will try to convince you that your dreams can hurt you. Do not believe them. They're nuts. If you do choose to believe them, you're going to be setting yourself up for some crazy shit.

    • ^This comment will benefit more than just the original poster.^

Also, when I say this "inbetween dream"/sleep paralysis always takes place where I am sleeping, I mean on the bed or couch. The location setting is always wherever I fell asleep.

And no negative entities are after you! I can't believe how many people are trying to tell you they are. It's ridiculous. They mean well, by they don't even realize it when they're fear mongering. I can understand children thinking this, about negative entities in dreams... but adults? C'mon now. It's time to grow up.

All negative things you experience in your sleep, you brought it upon yourself. Well your brain/imagination did. No one's out to get you. No one's out to suck your energy.

  • I had a dream that I was facing someone in a room while I was coming back from a porch outside of the room. The person had a gun pointed at me, and when I went for my gun, he fired and all lights went out. I nearly jumped out of bed; my poor chihuahuas were probably wondering what the heck was going on.
