It’s not physical pain I am writing about..it’s the mental, especially emotional pains. Do they play any meaningful role in our spiritual growth? Is it wrong to try for relief from that pain? I mean are we supposed to continue bearing it without complain? Yr views will be highly appreciated.

Dear Evan,
yes, too some extent they are a blessing in disguise.you realize the futility of materialism and also learn that relations are nothing more that settlement of past life debts and credits.
you cannot get relief from pain till you realize the root cause, the more you will try , more it will hurt.
we are not supposed to bear any pain the moment we learn about the reality. attachment to anything which is not permanent shall only bring misery.
attachment in any form is the root cause of all misery.
try to meditate and look inside.
attachment to anything which is not permanent shall only bring misery....hmmm..thanx...
yeah.. and dosent it seem bizzar the human dramas we all write into our soul contracts, in full aggreement with each other, acknowledged and understood before we are concieved.. and knowing full well that we will honour those contracts.. so that we may get an inkling of God while we are here ?
yes......free, we'll be one day..all d BEST...
Evan.. aside from our good sisters and brothers here sharing their valuable knowledge, these videos may also shed some light for you.. Eckhard Tolle perfectly describes the pain body.. and methods of moving out of it.. as well as moving away from other people pain bodies, which can trigger our own discomfort..
as he says, pain is caused by our thoughts..
Absolutely.
Pain, in all its forms is the compass that point you in the direction of the solution to the pain. If you are prepared to push beyond the illusion of the pain, to call its bluff and push deeper into it, focus on it intently rather than try ignore it, and I AM aware of how difficult it can be to do that, you find that pain begins to retreat.
One of the jobs of pain is to hide you from its own solution. It is one of the means by which we are kept in duality. When I recognized this to be the case I went on a quest of finding and eliciting my hurts.Because i had amassed the tools over the years to be able to address them. As you do this more and more you begin to open the for to your higher self, more and more.
It is counter intuitive. However it is effective. And the outcomes are repeatble and predictable.
In my experience, it was a lesson in understanding how we work. How duality works. Freedom is on the other side ot the pain. Not this side. It took 8 years of work, to develop a system and apply it enough times to get the results. However my bodies, spiritual, emotional, and physical, have for all intents and purposes healed. I now get excited when I feel pain. Becasue i know that it will be healed soon. Currently working on the right knee. :)..
counter intuitive..but effective..thanx...
