‘It’s bigger than Watergate’: Vindicated Trump vents over Special Counsel report that proves Hillary Clinton campaign DID spy on his 2016 campaign
Donald Trump repeated on Sunday his claim that Hillary Clinton’s campaign hiring someone to hack into his White House and Trump Tower servers is a bigger deal than the Watergate scandal.
‘What Hillary Clinton and the Radical Left Democrats did with respect to spying on a President of the United States, even while in office, is a far bigger crime than Watergate,’ Trump said in a statement Sunday.
‘It will be interesting to see how it was covered by the media and what Mitch McConnell and the RINOs will be doing about it,’ he continued.
‘This is an insult to the Republican Party, but a far greater insult to our Nation. Covered very powerfully this morning by Fox and Friends and, of course, Maria Bartiromo.’
According to a filing from Special Counsel John Durham on Friday, Clinton tried to fabricate connections between Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and Russia, which was accused of meddling in the election.
The filings revealed how Clinton’s campaign hired a tech firm to ‘infiltrate’ and allegedly hack servers that were at Trump Tower, and later the White House.
The Watergate scandal led to President Richard Nixon’s resignation after he was impeached for his administration’s cover up of its involvement in the June 17, 1972 break-in of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) headquarters at the Washington, D.C. Watergate Office Building.
Trump says Clinton’s hacking is a bigger crime than that.
