Cook County Commissioner Calls For UN Troops To Stop Chicago Violence

 by David Codrea ,  December 15, 2017

Nothing some UN troops and another gas tax can’t handle. Right? (Richard Boykin/Facebook)

“Cook Commissioner Richard Boykin … flew to New York on Thursday to discuss what he described as a ‘quiet genocide’ in Chicago’s black community with the U.N.’s assistant secretary-general for peacebuilding support, Oscar Fernandez-Taranco,” The Chicago Tribune reports.

His bright idea?

Foreign UN blue helmets patrolling American streets.

“The United Nations has a track record of protecting minority populations,” Boykin claimed. “There was tribal warfare between the Tutsis and the Hutus in Africa, and they deployed peacekeeping troops there to help save those populations and reduce the bloodshed. We have to do something — black people in Chicago make up 30 percent of the population but 80 percent of those who are killed by gun violence.”

That’s an interesting admission. It proves to any but the willingly blind that the problem with violence is not the guns. But that doesn’t stop Boykin from proposing this latest in a litany of loopy non-solutions. His brainstorm to address the same issue last year was a 4-cents-a-gallon gas tax.

Does this on U.S. soil suggest “peaceful resolution” to you?

And point of order, since Boykin’s the one who brought up UN intervention in the Hutu-Tutsi genocide:

“The United Nations Assistance Mission for Rwanda (UNAMIR) … is thus regarded as a major failure.”

The region is still a corrupt and brutal hellhole, where officials “manipulate” (lie about) the extreme poverty statistics and the military engages in “unlawful detention” and “widespread and systematic torture.”

And naturally, putting it mildly, “The regulation of guns in Rwanda is categorised as restrictive.”

That “progressive” policies promulgated by Boykin and the Chicago political establishment are “fundamentally transforming” more and more of America into a Third World “global norm” is self-evident. The further this country deviates from founding intent, the more tyranny — and the misery it brings — will take over.

The destruction will grow and spread as long as powers are usurped and freedoms are infringed. As will the widespread violence, as long as that which is “necessary to the security of a free State” is deliberately ignored and suppressed instead of promoted, trained and supplied.

As long as the Boykins of the world have their places at the trough secured and can take expenses-paid junkets where they’re treated like important players, where’s the incentive to change?
