One of the best speeches I've heard about a resourced based economy.
Point 1:
It discusses how when machines become so advanced that they can do the mundane jobs, humans would be free and become creative inventors/creators - have much more reason to follow their passion.
This breaks the question of "If everyone is following their passion, who will do the mundane jobs?"
This fits in perfectly with the new technologies that are kept secret and are going to be released - could very well be replacements for a lot of the mundane jobs.
Point 2 :
He discusses also how the way money works in this world is skewed - It doesn't spread out evenly.
E.g. There's enough medical resources in the world to heal EVERY single sickness and disease in humanity, but there's not enough money proportionately spread out for this to happen. The few control the the vast majority.
The greed and hatred amongst men in the world currently is what is causing this - and a radical shift in human consciousness is needed for us to advance any more as a civilisation.
Our collective consciousness is too low to be trusted with powerful technology - We will definitely destroy ourselves as we have nearly done so in the past.
