The Japanese government is withdrawing from the International Whaling Commission to catch the marine mammals commercially again in the future. Environmentalists are appalled.
For the first time in about three decades, Japan will again hunt whales for official commercial reasons. For this purpose, the third largest economy in the world is leaving the International Whaling Commission (IWC), as the government announced in Tokyo. Business hunting will resume in July next year.
Government spokesman Yoshihide Suga said on Wednesday that at the annual meeting there had been "no concessions" by the states, which are exclusively committed to the protection of marine mammals. Coexistence in the IWC is therefore no longer possible.

Very sad. One day this will all end.
These demonic assholes want another Tsunami on them just as in 2011, they haven't learnt with their lessons
Yes and this time worse tsunami then before so that they never ever hurt a dolophin or a whale.
Ok there may be some innocent japanise who also do not like hurting dolophins and whales but they could gather in masses and protest heavy till this practice is stopped in Japan for good as it’s happening in their country and in front of their eyes so they also are guilty for not doing enough to abolish this practice for good in their country
Killing Whales and Dolophins is heavy karma ..the japs need to be taught the laws of karma as some are just plain stupid idiots
Japan is going to learn the hard way ...there was a prediction that all of Japan will sink under water and I hope so as the Japanese should treat the whales and dolphins with respect.
Those Japanese who are against this killing of whales and dolphins shoul protest in mass gatherings and get more people from other countries to join in to stop this barbaric, cruel, and totally unacceptable activity
You know, you might be right.
