If you want my opinion regarding Yoko "casting a spell" over John that reportedly caused him to divorce Cynthia Powell and marry her, leave the Beatles, and then allow her to be with him on stage as a part of the Plastic Ono Band, you have to go find my opinion on or near the bottom.
This is a good performance by the Plastic Ono Band performing with rock and roll legend Chuck Berry, in a 3 minute video:

With the Uranian formulas, I came up with John's formula for "the wife" (Moon/Mars) bisecting or equaling the wedding chart placements of Kronos ("high legislative body; government; judge; 'the person or force which is higher than you'") and Mars/Saturn ("separation; death; forced separation; hinderance of work or activity.") This defines his wife separating from him in some way or having a negative impact on his work, and may include the presence of a government branch or legal body at sometime to affect the marriage in some way.
Neptune ("deception, disappointments, art involvement, spiritual inquiry") is in transit in John's seventh house ("marriage; relationships; one-on-one encounters; court or legal proceedings") per the John- Cynthia Wedding chart, and Neptune is very close to equaling John's natal midpoint of Mercury/Jupiter ("good news, legal contract, travel, communications far and wide"). Also note that Neptune just finished a conjunction with John's seventh house Mercury ("disappointing or deceptive messages; not a good time for travel; misinterpreted news") and is now applying to the Mercury/Jupiter midpoint. This is not good for pronouncements, and having Neptune transiting John's seventh house (applying to Mercury and Jupiter) is not a good time for a serious legal engagement such as marriage.
For Uranian interpretatioons, Cynthia's natal "husband" formula of Sun/Mars bisects (or equals) the wedding chart placements of Apollon/Poseidon ("man of the same mind; comrades; spreading of ideas; companions of destiny") and Uranus/Hades ("a very mean act; murder; atrocious actions with damages.") Although John and Cynthia were art school sweethearts who wanted to foster changes in the environment, John did cheat on Cynthia and reportedly physically hit her out of jealousy. He wrote an apologetic song about this problem called "Jealous Guy."
Transiting Jupiter on the wedding chart is in conjunction with Cynthia's natal descendant ('area of open enemies.") This is a very good placement for protection in event of court appearances, as well as forced separation from the spouse or divorce from the spouse. Cynthia and son Julian were reportedly paid out very well after the divorce, but both had much in scars froms John's crazy lifestyle.
Now on to John's divorce from Cynthia.
Note that John's formula for "the wife" (Moon/Mars) equals the divorce chart placement of Neptune/Zeus ("sterile; wasted energy; "putting out the fire""), which in turn bisects the divorce chart placements of Noth Node/Admetos ("to separate; end of connections") and Mercury/Vulcanus ("powerful communications or paperwork").
Here's Johns chart applied to the John/Cynthia divorce chart. Notice that transiting Neptune ("deception, disappointments, drugs, art/spiritual activities") is in the seventh house of relationships. Neptune or Saturn transiting the seventh house is notorious for separations or divorce from other people in some way or manner.
These are midpoints from John/Cynthia's divorce chart applied to her natal formula for "the husband." I was shocked when I saw these midpoints directly equal to the husband midpoint.
Cynthia Powell has the North Node transiting over her natal Jupiter in the eighth house at the time of divorce. Jupiter represents good luck, expansion, increased knowledge, the law, and international travel. The eighth house represents the bank account, sexual activity, secret or private activity, and the occult. With the North Node acting as a connecting apparatus per transit, Cynthia's bank account and ability to travel internationally was thus expanded tremendously per conjunction transit of the North Node to her natal Jupiter (in the 8th) at the time of divorce (and note that John didn't mind the divorce decree terms, and he reportedly didn't get upset when Cynthia's mother called him a drug addict at the divorce hearings (if this was true)).
Trying to find out the time of the wedding between John and Yoko was impossible. My personal compliments go out to Yoko, who wanted this wedding to be "incognito." But there are good clues elsewhere. The photo below indicates long shadows of John and Yoko (with the Rock of Gibraltar behind them) as they are showing off their wedding certificate, and this indicates a time very close to sunset or sunrise. And because the Gibraltar Regstrar Office doesn't open until 9 AM in Gibraltar, and would thus not be the proper time to feature the amount of light needed to produce such long stark shadows due to time considerations (paperwork, ceremony, signings, etc.). Also, sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean would produce more than average light, and that appears to be the case with this photo. For these reasons I selected the time of wedding of John and Yoko near the time of closure of the Registrar's Office at 4:15 PM (unless someone knows something I don't).
John Lennon's formula for "the wife" (Moon/Mars) bisects two midpoint sets (consisting of four separate midpoints.) Hence, "the wife" bisects the two inner midpoint sets of Uranus/Cupido ("sudden wedding; unusual marriage") and Hades/Admetos ("lack of raw materials," isolated, secretive, or condemned area of earth") as well as the two outside pairs of midpoints consisting of Venus ("relationships, love, marriage, art tastes, and involvement in art") and Chiron/Poseidon (this is a hard one, but I'll say "light, inspiration, services, or artwork that may be viewed as 'other-worldly' by outsiders"). I interpret this as "the wife will be one who is married suddenly and in an unusual manner, and become a wife in an isolated area that may be secretive, and who is involved with inspiring and 'other-worldly' areas of artwork, relationships, and/or corporations." This description really nails artist/manager Yoko Ono and her very unusual approaches to money management, as well as her art creations. Cynthia Powell's artwork in art school was reportedly excellent, but was contemporary with the standards at that time (as was John's work, at that time). Also note that Gibraltar is much more isolated and "secretive" than Liverpool.
John's wedding chart features transiting Mars and Neptune in the eighth house. And yes, this indicates that there would be lots of physical sexual activity with the bride and groom, as well as sexual activity that included drugs and music for enhancement of pleasure (and I remembered that as being called "sex, drugs, and rock and roll.")
John/Yoko's wedding chart features "the husband" (Sun/Mars) equal "the military or creative leader," or "one with creative or procreation skills" (Sun/Zeus). When these two midpoints from the wedding chart are applied to John's natal chart, this axis bisects his Pluto ("agent of change or transformation; research ability and investigation talent; potential for organized crime") and his midpoint of Midheaven/Venus ("love experience; affection; reputation and impact upon relations with others; artwork reputation.") His music and feeling (and expression) of love were never the same for the first few years after he married Yoko; some "Beatle-like tunes" would emerge later after he left Los Angeles to return to Yoko in New York.
I cannot find any evidence of Yoko ever "casting a spell" over John, whether it's via hypnosis, the use of the occult, or the claim by others that she got him hooked on heroin and was his sole source of the stuff. The wedding chart does have Jupiter/Neptune ("drugs; sudden financial losses AND sudden financial windfalls; feeling spiritually happy and/or intoxicated") equal to John's natal Sun/Jupiter ("the happy and fortunate man; the hero.") This could mean carefree but happy delusions and decision making with financial, spiritual, and idealistic-based actions or activities, as well as the use of intoxicating drugs (and Timothy Leary reportedly camped out with John and Yoko during their famous "bed-in" stunt, which was meant to appeal to others to end the Vietnam War). Please note that John and Yoko threw a lot of money for a variety of anti-Vietnam War publicity stunts during their first year of marriage in an attempt to end the war, and these stunts were viewed as very ridiculous to many of his fans and non-fans alike. But it was a hell of a way to draw attention to the unpopular war, and I really wish more people in the arts today would focus on the tragedy and expense of the current wars the United States is currently involved in over near the southwest area of Eurasia, but then the money addicts (i.e. the people in the suits who play God) would drop these artists from gigs and label deals.
Yoko's natal midpoint of Sun/Mars ("the husband") is very close to equaling her natal Mercury in Pisces placement ("communications related to or involved in art, religion, hospitals, and services of some kind"). This seems to be an excellent type 1 formula for marrying a Beatle from a basic astrology interpretation, but the real fireworks takes place with applications of this Sun/Mars midpoint on the Wedding Chart with the Uranian system. Yoko's natal formula of Sun/Mars bisects two formulas: the first is Midheaven/Aries ("the reputation of the entity from a world or Earth perspective" or "the seat of the entity's soul on the Earth") and the second is Jupiter/Apollon/Midheaven ("great fortune and success with travel, growth, and the money supply" (and she tripled John's net worth via her intrense study of the U.S. tax code!)) Hence, I interpret that as "the husband will have a reputation for increased earnings, much travel, and a respectable reputation on the Earth."
Also note that Yoko's "husband" formula (Sun/Mars) bisects her natal Mercury/Apollon ("communications far and wide; many speeches or talks") and Uranus/Pluto ("transformations and shocking events that take place suddenly" or"to initiate or experience revolutinary changes in the environment.") Finally, note that one of the formulas for "the artist" is Venus/Saturn, and these two planets are conjunct (together) and are transiting Yoko's 7th house, which rules relationships (as well as marriage, legal proceedings, and one-on-one encounters).
