I would like to hear about your experiences with Kundalini Yoga and your feelings regarding to the teachings of Yogi Bhajan...
What are your emotions regarding to this man`s words?
Who was he really?
There is not much material about him in spiritual blogs and forums, but there is a lot elsewhere...why?
and what do you think of kundalini energy rising? anybody here experienced it?
I must say, I love Kundalini Yoga and the balance it gives to me...the mantras are so beautiful and the melodies... BUT sometimes I have felt a dogmatic nature of some of the teachings of Yogi Bhajan ( i mean it is based on Sikh Dharma)...maybe it is not his fault, but the followers, who are putting some dogmatic touch on this...you know like the ppl did with Jesus`words too...what do you think?

Thank you for inviting me to talk about my experiences with Kundalini Yoga and Yogi Bhajan on this forum. I will give you my first hand personal experience of over 30 years with the man Yogi Bhajan and his tantric / Kundalini Yoga.
I met Yogi Bhajan at his tantric yoga course in Eugene while I was studying at the University of Oregon in 1977. I took yoga classes with Dr. Sat Kirpal Singh Khalsa who was a full time teacher of Yogi Bhajan Kundalini Yoga at The University of Oregon. In 1980 I moved to Los Angeles where I worked closely with Yogi Bhajan, his secretaries and 3HO businesses until 1991 when I moved to Espanola New Mexico where Yogi Bhajan sold me his house and I lived not more than 100 yards from where Yogi Bhajan died in 2004. I knew and worked closely with Yogi Bhajan's family as well through all those years.
Some people say they have been enriched by their experience with Yogi Bhajan and his philosophy but NOT me. Why you may ask do so many people say they benefited from Yogi’s presence and teachings and now here is someone who says Yogi Bhajan was a fraud along with his Kundalini / tantric yoga? Well I think the answer is simple. 90% of all persons following Yogi Bhajan never were very close to him and the 10% that were around him day and night are now tied financially to his organizations through jobs and family. It’s just too painful to admit you devoted 30 or 40 years of your life to a fraud. I invite you to visit my website and explore the many articles I have written and comments from others. Thanks but i am not interested in deciding about anyone...and I would like to distance myself from all kinds of groups and movements... my discussion topic was more about kundalini as experience ...
My view is, we could just stay away from all organizations and never bound ourselves personally ... remember I AM

But the group of ppl who are the main ambassadors of the Kundalini rising here on Earth are just not my cup of tea...yesterday had a yoga session with a master Sikh and it didnt feel right ... they try to be neutral and natural with their white clothes and only long body hair and too neutral attitude (like almost not being there)..... but for me it is more like weird and and unadapted to the world they are living in.... they have created a group, to isolate themselves from the world (though they say Kundalini yoga is not a religion, but for me it is)...groups are never good...
Hi Anthony... i wanted to add for you some links of 3HO (which is for: Healthy happy holy organization) and the official page of Yogi Bhajan...but I cant believe my eyes... my internet is gone, but i still can use ACC ...lol I am wondering if ACC is working without internet ... so maybe it is working on light energy already ;))) ...but as soon my internet connection is back and i can also visit other sites in Web, i will refer to some links here

everything is nice until some lifestyle tips (what to wear and how to look) ...this is way too much for my taste...that is what i would call "dogmatic"...
maybe just a comment: I am not into or for any organizations, my motto is "Spritual people dont need org-s or groups"... my question is more about the person Yogi Bhajan and Kundalini in practice
Thank you very much! I think i needed this :) Especially the last paragraphs are exactly what i was having in my mind... I dont like the word discipline...i think that if love comes from inside, we dont need discipline...example: I am not vegetarian because of discipline, but some ppl are ...
But as you say, they seem to have nice ideas and if it helps one to get closer to spirituality so: why not...i am gonna teach the kundalini yoga for kids very soon... and will certainly be skipping all the dogmatic stuff and weird looks etc.
PS. I had a big laugh right now: " I am the worlds worst yoga exponent apart from lying on my back" lol ...no, this is actually a very important part of Kundalini yoga session - its called relaxation btw ;)
