Leg pain during meditation?

Hello guys,

When I meditate (and I do this with my legs streched) and I start going deeper into it and see a very bright white light, my legs start to hurt (I think it is cramp like) so bad that I have to interrupt the whole thing. Also my head aches and I feel like I have to vomit. 

The whole body vibrates and feels like it is drifting away to somewere above. I dont have any control over this so I am asking for your help =) I don't think it is confortable at all and it gets very nauseous sometimes this is why I avoid to meditate.

Do you know what could help with this and why this keeps happening? Any tips on how to do this without pain?

  • I've heard that people have experiences from past lives that are imbedded in the unconscious.  For instance, possibly in a previous life you had an accident involving your legs creating a great deal of pain.  This may surface in your meditative state due to the memory.  If everything else seems in order, I would investigate this as a possibility.  I think experiences from past lives affect us more than we know.  If you are truly making an effort to meditate, and the feeling persists (you must be honest), then you should consider this.  You may be experiencing the pain for other reasons.  Our bodies signal us through pain that we aren't doing things the right way.  You may have a fear of being in the deep meditative state for some reason.  I think you alone will know the answer to your own question.  Maybe go on YouTube and watch some meditation videos.  Many times you will find the perfect answer to your situation.

    I think that finding a comfortable position while meditating is so important. I sometimes go to the zen temple to meditate and I would sit on a cushion, but the way I was sitting made the meditation unbearably uncomfortable. My leg would go numb or my butt would hurt and it was unpleasant. The last time I went I got a bench to meditate that is what I use now(or try to). Find something that you can sit with. Also with the leg cramp are you stretching (exercise that is why the monks did martial arts) getting enough water? Bananna, coconut water? Exercise, meditation, good fluids/food hopefully can do the trick.

  • Yes Minerva I totally understand when you say that you won't be visible to 3D beings to help them. Mother Earth is also going to Ascend to 5D shortly (more 21 days to go). So, I think we will stay on the mother earth along with her  in the 5th Dimension. (btw, a few them have already Ascended to the 5D and higher dimensions)

    Beings of the Higher Dimensions of Light are invisible to most of the 3D beings, but still they help them in their Ascension. The Archangels, Ascended Masters help us all the time. Don't they? :)

    The important thing you've mentioned is about your Soul Contract. If it's in your soul contract that you must stay in the 3D and help people Ascend to 5D, then so be it.

    Staying in 3D and helping people Ascend to 5D, is not going to be an easy task at all. That is why I said that you've taken a bold and a brave decision to stay back here in the 3D. Because, in the 3D you have to face challenges such as illusion of time, illusion of money, illusion of fear, illusion of anger, illusion of death etc. and illusion is just one set of challenges you will be facing on the 3D plane.

     

    I wish you all the the very best in your (soul contract/divine mission on earth) work Minerva. I think you're a Brave and a Great Soul.

    Love how you mentioned the Lotus pos, I was gonna ;P

    Have you tried seeing a doctor, maybe it's a circulation issue. But... I mean if you run and exercise, it shouldn't be right? Make a list of things that could possibly be the cause and their solutions, tick 'em off 1 by 1 as you go thru, and I'm sure you'll eventually find a cause. It helps to be deliberate about it, to put focus on it. Accept it and then work with it.

  • The same thing happened to me, I wrote about it somewhere on the forum. I Don't meditate by sitting in a lotus because of my arthritis, but to be honest I think I meditate a bit differently than other people anyway. I meditate even while doing things, if I really want to do it in a complete quiet and with my eyes closed I just lie down or sit with my legs stretched out. But last time I felt myself vibrate and knew I was close to leaving my body so i freaked out and grabbed onto my husband. I have crystals around me and on me at all times, sometimes I feel like they amplify the effects though. 

    I also think you need grounding. I stopped meditating for a bit too, I think what I do is sufficient because I can feel the benefits. 

  • Minerva you can meditate lying down, straight. Do you get pains still?

  • Hello Minerva. That's a brave choice you made- staying back in the 3D and help people Ascend to the 5D.

    I wanna ask you whether have you ever considered Ascending to 5D and from there, help people on 3D Ascend to 5D?

  • During astral travel, your spirit remains in the body, but the soul is separated.
    This isn't a case, it is a full output from the body. Exit from body of the soul in the shell of the spirit. This is not the same as clinical death, is another.This is the process of extracting the energy the body copy, the birth of a new being.And it looks like @Minerva can, in any case, it is on the way to this.

    So to say a personal experience. :))
    As soon as disappear sounds of the outside world - a critical threshold, it is necessary to stop your meditation. When focusing on the "third eye" appears "white light" is coming closer, growing - be careful, you may lose control over the process.

    Pain in the joints of the hands and feet, numb - a sign of the output of the soul from the body, the connection is still strong, was no danger.
